Chelsea v Manchester City (PL) 25/11/2012 KO 16:00 GMT
I feel like the game is set up well for Moses to make some runs in behind Kolarov or Zaba who are both pushing up the field very quickly, likely on for Hazard who has been quiet. edit: Looks like Rafa feels the same

f**k i love ashley cole, dunno if they monitor who has made the most goal-line clearances in epl history, but he'd be near the top.

dunno if i'm clutching at straws here, but anyone else like at least how torres went straight for the shot there, and really smacked it (as opposed to f**king around with it then losing it). I mean i know he missed, but thats something right?

Watch whenever the ball is cleared up to Torres, Kompany has both arms around him in a bear hug, its ridiculous.

I don't think we're playing too badly, the fouling on hazard and torres by kompany/yaya is ridiculous though. The reason we're looking bad is because they're getting fouled every time they're on the ball and the ref hasn't yet blown his whistle. If he'd actually officiate this game properly we'd have a lot more possession.

Cole to PSG?
Would be disappointing, it it saying hes leaving at the end of the season or in January? Even though hes still the best in the world for me, he turns 32 next month, and surely it's only a matter of time before he loses that yard of pace that makes him unbeatable.

Fickle or Forgiving
I was going to write out a long reply but this pretty much sums it up. We can show our respect and love for Robbie without damaging the morale and confidence of the team and their coach. Being negative and booing ourselves is ridiculous. Rafa didn't sack Robbie, RA did, and Rafa is here in the highest pressure seat in world football management. Regardless of whether you think hes trying to revive his career or hes trying to legitimately help the club, both will be achieved the same way, and that is by playing good football and winning games. And at the end of the day, this is a transition season, and we're most likely going to have either pep or jose next season. Sit tight, sing Robbie's praises, cheer on our team, and get through this season in the best form possible, ready for the future which for me starts next season.

Cole and Lamps on their way out?
Bertrand clearly isn't ready yet to step into Ash's shoes, and i still don't think there is a left back in the world that can compare to him. As much as i love Lamps, we can live without him, although we're certainly going to have to buy a replacement, because right now our midfield is a shambles, seeing the way Juve and Shakhtar just passed the ball around as if our CM's weren't even there.

Will you ever accept Benitez as manager of Chelsea?
yep, and also happens to be our manager.

Will you ever accept Benitez as manager of Chelsea?
Also if you want to look for one positive, hes probably one of the few managers that hates SAF as much as the rest of us. My enemies enemy and the lark.

I didn't want RDM sacked, but in terms of finding replacements lets face it, how many other players with the sort of CV Rafa has are there left for us to go through, or would be willing to come? We're running out of quality replacements, considering Pep and Mourinho were out of the question, and we've already pissed off Ancelotti, who is really left that has achieved what Rafa has? He's won 2 La Liga's with a team that isn't Real or Barca, and hes probably the only manager to have achieved that in 40 or so years. As well as a UEFA cup, and a CL win with a pretty weak team (ignoring the fact they should never have been in that final to begin with). Personally I would have liked to see Klopp, he's done brilliantly at BVB and they play in a similar style to that which would suit our players. However I doubt he would have wanted to come here, so assuming Hiddink also doesn't want to come back, Rafa is probably, and I hate to say it, the next best alternative. He's the last coach to have won the CL that we could realistically hire (RDM, Pep, Mourinho, Ancelotti, SAF and Rijkaard are the only managers to have won it since). I will support him because he is the manager of Chelsea, and any true fan will want Chelsea to succeed. Will I respect him? I don't respect him now, and it will be more difficult for him to earn my respect than it would have been for previous CFC managers, but if he does the right things by the team, and improves us, then I can learn to accept him.

Roman Abramovich - the best owner in world club football
Without RA there would be no CL and RDM would never have been in charge to begin with. While I don't agree with the sacking, anyone saying that RA should go, or that hes been a bad owner, is being ridiculous.

The Rafa Benitez Thread (merged)
40 pages in finally people are willing to put the past where it belongs and move forward for the best possible 7 months for our club. If Rafa can win us some trophies then at the end of the day, all respect to him.

Boudewijn Zenden appointed as Benitez Nr.2
Jokes on all of you when Zenden becomes caretaker manager in a few months and wins the Champions League.

Thank You Robbie
Well said, thanks for everything Robbie and all the best.

Week of hell
2008 CL Final? I know far too many United fans, it will be hard for me to ever have a week worse than that.

Jeez don't be too optimistic guys. Team i'd like to see Rafa start with: 4-3-3 Cech Azpi - Iva - Cahill - Cole - - - Mikel - - - - Ramires - Oscar - Mata - - - - - - Hazard Sturridge However if Sturridge is injured, we probably have no choice but to play Nando. I'm sure Rafa will give Nando the start anyway

Fans Anti- Abramovich protest on Sunday (Merged Thread)
At the end of the day we should all want the same thing, and that is for Chelsea to win. Booing them isn't going to help us achieve this, far better to give the players the vote of confidence they need after a bad few weeks, and hopefully with a win we can close the gap at the top right down. But I fear the sh*t is going to hit the fan if we lose...

Formation change
Surely the first thing hes going to look at is our terrible defensive record this season and look at getting us more organized in that regards. He may switch to a 4-3-3 just to give the additional player to protect our CB's.

Robbie Di Matteo sacking (merged)
There is only one special enough to deserve RDM's job.
