We have lacked an elite RW for a while now and his quality and the difference he brings was evident. One player can drastically change the way things are done. This move has fixed a lot of problems for us offensively.

5. Hopefully Willian in the centre.
Willy is a great squad player but watching Pedro is more evidence that Willian was doing a decent job while playing out of position but could never realistically be world class player in that area.
It is early days but I have a good feeling about this lad.

Fabregas is the signing that shocked me. I didn't see it coming at all. With the departure of Lampard(Cries) we needed someone to take control of the midfield. Fab makes so much sense with all the factors included, like already being well suited to the English game. He's at the right age and he's incredibly talented. The type of player we lacked when we needed to split open 11 men walls just playing for the draw.  Most astute signing in years.

Looks like three years out of the PL did nothing to his FabrePass reputation in people's eyes.
Basically:

Lampard and Luiz passed the ball forwards (and pretty much exclusively forwards). Matic and Fabregas passed the ball intelligently.
