We need to beat the big boys to gain the confidence of a top team. That's the reason I'm f**king outraged with this result. We had this in the palm of our hand and we threw it away.

Because they're not goalkeepers anymore. Basically they're players who've been given gloves and an additional task of preventing goals. It's just stupid the basic goalkeeping tasks that this current generation can't perform.

Why should Gallagher expect the pass when he's surrounded by 3 players and facing his own goal ? Sanchez could've kicked it anywhere. He has to take full blame for this.

It's been an age since we had a solid GK. Kepa, Mendy( except the CL run) and now this tosser, it just keeps getting worse. Why can't Boehly's stats team find the next Cech for us.

Wanted so badly for us to beat this lot especially being 2-0 up. This is so infuriating but boehly has bought a bunch of second rate and mentally fragile players who collapse at the first hint of players. Just miss the times we used to outclass le arse comfortably. We're just not that good anymore.

That's more of a moral shattering draw/loss on the cards. The same thing happened last season when we shipped 2 sh*tty goals to spuds at home in that game early in the season and it just kept going downhill from there.

We need to desperately improve our game if we are to avoid a relegation battle this season. This is pitiful.

Well it helps our possession stats and hence the narrative that things will eventually get better and we'll create more chances and convert them into goals.

At this rate we'll comfortably create the record for most passes amongst the defenders in a season. We're so easy to play against.

I think we'll be lucky to finish in the top 12 playing a bunch of kids nobody heard about 12 months ago and being overly reliant on a few world class players who are injured most of the time. It's not how top clubs are run, it's not even how Brighton are run.

But how come we are having the same problems with a squad which is almost a new one. Do players suddenly forget how to play and coaches forget how to coach when they sign for us.

I liked the time when football was a simple game where you try to score and stop the opposition from scoring. It's not about the xG but the player at the end of those chances. It doesn't matter if you xG is 50 if Sterling is at the end of those chances but with Halaand you'll probably need only 1.

Todd's love for statistics has gotten us into trouble in the first place. If games were decided on statistics alone then we wouldn't have won any of our 2 CL titles.

From what we're seeing this squad looks barely good enough to compete in the PL. I'd be relieved if we avoid relegation.
