  1. the big teams are usually favored in the Champions League. Not tonight lads. Tonight, the ref is completely biased against Chelsea.
  2. what a pass by Oscar, Hazard was not to blame, it was a great save.
  3. Oscar clearly tripped in the area. Costa clearly had his shirt and shorts pulled in the area (almost lost his shorts!) stupid ref. edit: well, at least Chelsea equalized now...
  4. I suppose anyone with a decent knowledge of etimoly will guess that Falcão is the portuguese word for Falcon. (in spanish it´s Falco, but Radames is named Falcão after the brazilian player Falcão)
  5. you mean the best futsal player in the world? Really, more impressive than Ronaldinho in his peak Ronaldo Nazário Ronaldo Assis Moreira (Ronaldinho) Cristiano Ronaldo ---------- Paulo Roberto Falcão Alessandro Rosa Vieira (the Falcão from futsal who inherited the nickname from his father, who was a look-a-like of Paulo Roberto Falcão) Radamel Falcão Garcia Zarate (the colombian player, his father gave him the 2nd name Falcão in honor of Paulo Roberto Falcão) really, if I have a son and I want him to be a great and famous footballer, I will name him Ronaldo Falcão. LMAO
  6. This match has the spirit of a Libertadores match. Only thing missing is cops protecting players with shields from the crowd at corner kicks lol
  7. Stadia should have a dry ice smoke curtain system. The moment a prick starts shining his laser, turn on the smoke wall and you will be able to see the light ray and catch the idiot.
  8. I think Schurle was not offside but he missed again and i am pretty sure he TRIED to score. Well, he has the offside excuse
  9. Bah. Hazard has been giving away possession to easily. Not his best match. Good thing Oscar has stepped up as Hazard has not been in his best
  10. We needed a big defensive mistake to open the score. Weird how easy and alone Matic was and the keeper position. I will take anyway and let the floodgates be opened.
  11. Another awesome Oscar pass, good thinking by Hazard and terrible miss by Schurle
  12. Two great passes by Oscar already. Is he really back from his long vacations?
  13. 3 brazilian goals. It's somewhat funny when we think just 5-10 years ago it was considered that brazilians did not work right at the EPL (Juninho Paulista being the exception at Middlesbrough)
  14. attended this game. Only bought the tickets for it to say that I had attended a World Cup game, because I got tired of pressing F5 for 6 hours trying to get tickets for other WC games in Porto Alegre. So went with Algeria vs S.Korea. But I was prepared for a boring 0-0 snoozefest. Turned out to be a very fun match for a neutral. It was actually more fun than attending club matches (from Grêmio), because I always end up with a headache from getting angry, worried, screaming when we score, cursing when we suffer a goal, etc. Being a neutral, I could just ENJOY THE MATCH. I had never experienced that being live on a stadium before!
  15. Arena da Baixada Arena da Amazonia Mineirão Beira Rio Fonte Nova Maracanã Estádio Nacional Arena Corinthians Castelão Arena Pantanal
  16. they are one of the richest countries in the world and have 300 million people. even if football never becomes the biggest sport in the US, just because of "size of population x average income" it can already be bigger than in many european countries. ps: if american clubs ever want to take part in the Libertadores da América Cup (like Mexican clubs already do), they first need to recognize Liberators of America is NOT named in honor of US and Jefferson, Franklin, Washington, etc. :)
  17. Russia's should be: "we will annex you" lol the Holland one (gee, I am never sure when it´s Holland and when it´s Netherlands) is a bit sexist... not that I mind, but in our current PC society, some people will be angry about they defining what "a real man" is supposed to be. Italy one seems the weakest to me. Greece should be: This is GREECE! Honduras reference to 5 stars... what five stars? Have they ever won anything? Ivory Coast... has Ronaldo (the Phenomenon) naturalized Ivorian? Bosnia: the favorite team of the Targaryens Cameroon: the favorite team of the Lannisters. Brazil: hmmm... too much confidence in the title... reminds me (nightmares) of 1950, when a Rio newspaper proclaimed the team champion in the morning BEFORE the match against Uruguay...

  20. always be careful with Italy. NOBODY is betting on them. There are two combinations needed for Italy to be champions: 1 - they must enter the World Cup without anyone believing in their chances 2 - they need to qualify with extreme difficulty at the GROUP STAGES. if 1 and 2 are true, than Italy become champions.
  21. Brazil has a very good track record against Germany in World Cups. It´s usually Germany that chokes when facing Brazil. Of course track record doesn´t mean anything, but still... As for Spain... Brazil 3 - 0 Spain in the Confeds Cup. And Argentina has a very bad defense. They won last match against Brazil (it was in 2012), but then, Brazil was still underperforming with Mano Menezes as a coach plus it had to use VERY inexperienced defenders. Final result was Argentina 4 - 3 Brazil. Considering that Messi was in better form and scored 3 of the goals, and that the brazilian defense was much worse and inexperienced in that match (Rafael Silva and Bruno Uvini, both Thiago Silva and David Luiz were injured), we can expect Messi in not such a good form would have much more difficulty playing against the much improved Brazilian defense with Thiago Silva and David Luiz (plus Brazil playing much better under Felipão). All the while, Argentina will have more difficulties scoring against Brazil, but Argentina´s defense has not improved since that match in which Brazil scored 3 goals.
