Premier League: The Final Stretch
Apalling to think that had we beat Sunderland and Norwich at home (come on, not that hard) we'd now be 4 points clear and need to beat Cardiff to win the league. I know everyone knows this but when you look at the table and consider that Cardiff are now dead it just makes you shudder.

Premier League: The Final Stretch
Liverpool have no money, the extra £20m or so they pick up next year will not be enough to buy the players that will keep them going CL and PL. They will fall away, City will get stronger, unfortunately we've opened the door to them and, with a title and cup in his first season, all clubs, including us, will have to finish above them in the future to win anything. Their set-up in Manchester is immense, they are around for some time.

All of you who booed and walked off just now are a disgrace
Embarrassing, in a game where 1 goal would keep us in the title race (just) and after a season like we've had, shows no respect for players or club.

Chelsea v Atletico - (CL SF 2nd Leg) 30/04/14 KO 19:45 BST
Ba's confidence was up and you could see that on sunday, the Eto substitution was an error, felt like it at the time and hindsight makes it that much more obvious.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
The last two windows must have been the worst transfer windows for buying strikers in living memory. Liverpool and United bought no-one, Negredo looked half decent for a while, Spurs bought sh*te and ourselves and Arse looked scared stiff of buying anyone despite the money being there (We spent c£110m this season). It has cost us and Arsenal dear this year as either club, with a decent striker would be 10 points better off right now.

It is, at this moment in time, the conclusion of a business deal and the parties will part after the contract is finished. As mentioned, those that engineered the business deal, in the face of the wishes of the fans, are still there.

What I meant was we finished 6th last year, couldn't work out where the unthinkable came from. Robbie, for all we love the lad, never finished in the top four.

He's quick thinking enough to make it look like he didn't mean it for the cameras, just like Real and the face clapping. Loads of people in here re-editing their posts I suspect- Sack the board
People talk about managers like Klopp but why would someone wish to leave a safe steady job like that and take Chelsea on knowing that a few bad games and you are out with your reputation tarnished. The only people who want this job now are people who see it as a pay bonanza. We've moved into 'supply-manager' territory, I suspect the next advert will go in a temps agency. The Board need to know they are not off the hook once Benitez goes.- AVB - Where would Chelsea be if he wasn't sacked?
Of course there is the possibility that had AVB stayed we would, just as we did, have gone on to win the CL and FA cup and then he is sacked after a couple of bad games early this season, doubtful yes, but how many people expected RDM to get sacked?- The Rafa Benitez Thread (merged)
But we all know why we tolerate it. Just pause for a second and imagine how the decision to sack Robbie would have been greeted if Randy Lerner or someone like that owned the club.- The Rafa Benitez Thread (merged)
To be fair that's Roman's normal face. There will be a face, possibly seen by aluminimum smelting plant managers some years ago, that will be indicative of imminent change. - Manchester United v Chelsea (FA Cup) 10/03/2013 KO 16:30 GMT
