  1. Potential for confusion with third strip - if a team mate is on your left, you'll be looking for someone in a part white shirt; if they're on the right, you'll be looking for a mainly blue top. This smacks of the famous, 'invisible' Man U away kit saga...(and, of course, it's gopping).
  2. I'm not a massive fan of stats but those are incredible figures, particularly given the period of time they cover.
  3. My God - someone got paid to create those??? They are headache inducing.
  4. Yep. To be honest, JM is talented and handsome. I was just searching for an area where we might compete against JM. Bad choice of area to compete...
  5. Technical note: stretching your foreskin forward is cheating...
  6. Now, you can't doubt JM's football, or style, credentials but, in terms of 'bromance' AVB takes some beating (I might have to re-phrase that). Look at AVB's stubble, his hair...I...errr...well, you know what I mean.
  7. Good point, but Mourinho can remember winning it and is still in that habit. Wenger (and us, sadly) has to watch videos to recall past glories.
  8. Yep. I read a comment on the bbc thread earlier: 'all journslists in England just had an explosion in their pants' Forget what some may say, the game needs characters, people who have personality and ideas. The journos and pundits love him.
  9. Thing is, you take a camera on the streets, you'll find some bellend who'll say what you (i.e. the media) want to hear. Only an idiot would doubt that Chelsea are going to be a very serious proposition, next season. Will be the team to beat.
  10. Well done you CFC types - huge relief I bet, even though it was expected. Not much work being done this pm, I bet! :-)
  11. I can't comprehend the delay - what's going on? This thread should be re-named 'Jose Mourinho - the contract-signing Groundhog Day thread' - it's never-ending. Please sign soon.
  12. I'm at work and can't check pc/news: please can somone post an update - is JM in UK? What's known at the mo?
  13. Three thoughts: 1. I hope he's not in Manchester (see above) 2. For Cfc fans, this day must be crawling by 3. I hope he ends today back at CFC - good luck yous chaps.
  14. Respectfully, I disagree with the premise of this thread. A great deal of good luck has come Chelsea's way and, for all the recent turbulence, CFC are one of the best clubs in England and Europe. I don't think that Chelsea are despised; I don't recognise that description. What is clear is that, as a big club, there's going to be lots of media attention when anything happens. Also, the public profile of some CFC players, means that there's a broad public interest in what happens to them (i.e. you're as likely to read about Cole in 'Closer' as in the football pages). Therefore, if a story like the training ground 'shooting' incident comes to light, it is going to be big news. That comes with the territory of being a big club. There are other clubs where fans could more justifiably feel that things are against them (look at the coverage that Arsenal got early last season). Lastly, do we (i.e. whether Spuds or CFC) want to go down the Scouse 'victim' path? I'd hate that, personally.
  15. How long before the Scousers issue a fatwah and he has to go into hiding? (if you can hide, with those teeth)
  16. If Suarez goes, we'll have to read / listen to a huge amount of sh*te from the media, along the lines of '...for all his faults, English football will be less interesting...'. The attitude of Liverpool fans is that of the mighty fallen; even after all these years, they haven't adjusted to their (relatively) lowly status. The fans still have that sense of entitlement that went with being a big club - hence the bitterness and the victim mentality. Anyway, talented though you are, eff off Suarez.
  17. This thread has, somehow, gotten waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off topic. Now; that 'Jose is Manager' thing is very precipitate. Ahem.
  18. Blimey, that was a quick turnaround of emotions...:-)
  19. No chance. Getting the EPL's 'most wanted'? Mark Hughes is gone. You'll have to put up with this Jose bloke, whoever he is.
  20. Bugger - I've done it again. I meant to say that I couldn't blame you because you're clearly sophisticated, elegant and refined (??). A femme fatale without the negative connotations of that phrase...
  21. Anyway, who is this 'jose mourinho' bloke? Is he any good? I haven't read much about him and, if he's coming, we need info.
  22. I couldn't blame you - you're far too decent. It's 'my bad' as I believe these youngsters say...:-) I've got the same condition as you. It's a long term thing with me. I thought I was getting better but have had a major relapse. I'm glad to know a fellow sufferer.
  23. That's the one. Only the one I'm thinking of is about a thousand times bigger...I'm in that tricky 'this guy's talking...(notices bright red 'MOD' text)...oh sh*t...' situation...:-)
