Me too

Stewart Downing would be a great buy

Save me the £27 the council are going to charge me to collect mine

I don't personally want him, he is just average. He obviously doesn't wan't to be at Boro but he won't go that far up the table. Why don't Boro let an unhappy player go before Man City buy him? How much are they asking for anyway, £12, £15, seems about right. While we are talking about Boro, Tuncay anyone?

he's better than malouda.

he's a very decent player for boro.

he can cross the ball, and to be fair to him has been useful under capello with england.

despite that he's obviously, clearly short of the quality we need. file under podolski. edit: and tuncay, klose, zaki and any other joker that does well for 5 minutes.

if we're going to through money at any winger in the league, surely it should be ashley young?

Say... doesn't Downing have quite a good left foot?

Isn't that what Scolari has been looking for?

Didn't Downing hand in a transfer request?

I mean, I'd take Zhirkov over him any day, but...

Young? I'd say Aghbonlahor myself.

Cheers,

Butch

Opposite for me Butch - I think Young is a far better player than Aghbonlahor and would be an excellent addition to our team. Won't happen though as Villa would be looking for £25m for him.

agbonlahor to me is more a striker than a winger, and doesn't have half of the things young has going for him.

alas, I doubt £25m would even make them return our calls- they have no need for cash, and when you saw how determined they were to hold on to an older player with less time left on his contract in gareth barry, I wouldn't even wish to imagine the fee that it would take to sign him.

edit- jesus, just noticed my attempt to spell "throw" earlier.
