I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about Essiens rehab?

Last I heard (must have been early december or november last year) was that he was getting better and better and was planning to perhaps be back in january or february. But at the moment I'm not hearing anything about him apart from people saying they want him back as soon as possible.

So does anyone know if he's back in full training soon or will we have to wait til late february/early march (or, God forbid, late march/early april)?

I can't wait to see him back on the pitch now that players like Ballack and Deco aren't performing too well.

NOt 100% sure Moos as I have been getting different stories. I seem to remember Scolari saying he thought that he'd be back in January. However, the one thing I do agree on, is we need him soon! I was watching old games the other day, and when he was in the side, he looked great, and we looked amazing!

We've just lost Joey for the rest of the season and as it seems we are not buying anyone to replace Bridge or enhance the leftwing so some good news about Essien would be in place.

I would rather suffer performance-wise and not rush Essien back, to be honest.

I hope people won't expect too much of Essien too soon. He'll take time to get back to his full match fitness, and even then he might take a while to find form. He didn't have the best of seasons last year, but hopefully his enforced lay off will make him hungrier for the game. I don't think we'll see Essien back to his best until the start of next season, though of course I could be wrong - hope so!
