Ok, so whenever you go to Amazon we are told "people who bought this album also liked..."

So I figured we'd star something similar in the Shed End.

What the premise of this thread is: I will write the name and artist of an album that I like/have bought recently, and then someone who is familiar with that artist/album says...."well, if you like that, you'll like this. Oh and by the way I like......"

You see?

So, for starters, I've recently gotten into (in the past 5 years) The Walkmen and their album Bows and Arrows. So can anyone recomend another artist that you feel I'd like too?

If you do like them, and can recommend something else, then you simply recommend another artist/album and then put one of yours up for reference!

Scott

Ok, i really dont like Journey, honest!. Its just i will never forget them because of The Sopranos.

The Stills had their chance but really screwed up the second album. The third, released last year is pretty good though. Their time has passed though.

You really should check out Stellastarr* too.

Ok listened to it mate and have to admit that I struggled to get into it - maybe a grower.

However in the spirit of the thread I will offer up one that you might like based on liking The Walkmen.

Not really a new album as it has been out since 2006 but if you haven't heard it I would recommend 'The Back ROom' by Editors - they have had another album out since then called 'An End Has a Start' which came out in either 2007 or 2008 but whilst I do like 'An End Has a Start' I would say that 'The Back ROom' is a much better album.

Loz, believe me I've heard of the editors and from what I've heard.....very good. Also, the first time I heard the Walkmen I ws VERY disappointed, but it really is a grower. The Rat, My Old man and a couple others are great. The singer's voice sounds like bob dylan trying to sound modern, so takes a little getting used to but if you give it time it is very very good!

Not yet - will have another look today

id email you it but its a bit file, 100mb+.

just torrent it. if havent torrented before, its easy.

download Utorrent, a fast and tiny program www.utorrent.com

then just google or piratebay the album you want.

if you dont want to get into that then you can try searching for the album and add 'rapid' or 'mega'.

you can always and the google command 'inurl:rapid' and then the album name.

or..

you can try searching for the album name plus blog or blogspot or something and you might fight the album on there.

if anyone has other methods id be interested to hear about them.

That DOves album seems to be protected from up high by the Prince of Darkness - every 'WH Smith' I go to has removed the file so I can't download it.

Ozzy Osbourne is preventing people from getting the Doves album?
