Hey everyone, my name is James, but everyone calls me Mitch, because of my second name is Mitchell. I live in Scotland, I'm a season ticket holder for Glasgow Rangers, I occasionally come down to London to cheers the boys in blue on. I try and travel to away game aswell, especially places like Newcastle, Sunderland & Middlesbrough, obviously when Rangers are not at home.

I'll welcome you, James, even though I tend to Celtic and am descended from Jacobites ::ChElSeaFLag:: But we're all Chels - that's what counts. By the way - good name - at least you're not a George ::ChELSeAFaN::

Those on the board who realised how pissed off I was last Wednesday, will appreciate that I have cheered up considerably now - enough to joke with newbies. I couldn't have done that on Wednesday.

So, seriously - welcome, James - hope you enjoy your time here.

Thanks, being a Chelsea fan all that matters. ::ChElSeaFLag::

Wednesday I was almost in tears, my dreams had been shattered, I was on a Rangers Forum called RangersMedia, taking my anger out on there, some called me mad, some where behind me.

I will enjoy my time here

Greetings Mitch - there is a fair few of us North of the Border on here.

Hell of a weekend for you with Rangers going back on top of the table.

So what's the deal with the SPL this year? Celtic and Rangers wise.

One of my best mates is a huge Celtic fan and I love it when they lose cause he's depressed the next day :D

Welcome btw -_-

With 3 games to go (I think it is three - need to check) Rangers have just moved one point ahead of Celtic at the top of the table. however Celtic have marginally the easier run in and I suspect they pip Rangers on the last day of the season as Rangers area way at Dundee Utd (where they tend to struggle) whereas Celtic have Hearts at home.

There is 3 games to go but we're two points clear Loz - could make all the difference. Both sides of the Old Firm have been so inconsistent anything could happen. It could end up like that season 5 or so years ago when it was literaly changing direction every few minutes. Rangers humped Dunfermline I think to eventually win it, Chris Sutton said they lay down to us - sour grapes or what.

Looking at Celtic forums last night they've all but thrown the towel in but I'm very pessimistic when it comes to this stage of the season.

The passion and bittteress is still as good/bad but the quality of football is pretty dire to be honest. Thers still the old affinity between Rangers and Chelsea which will always continue.

I hadn't realised it was two points - not sure if that makes all that much difference though as goal difference between you is marginal (Celtic one more) so if you draw and they win then go back on top.

I remember that Sutton moan - it was somewhat ridiculous as didn't Celtic thump Kilmarnock on the same day and therefore they could have been accused of the same thing.

You are right about the quality, it really is dire now however there is so little money in the game in Scotland that is hard to see a way out of it.

Given how Celtic threw the title away the season Motherwell beat them 2-1 on the last day of the season I think it is a little premature for Celtic fans to be waving the white flag. Of the two teams Rangers are the ones getting results just now but I just feel that game away at Dundee Utd could be a killer for them.

Both playing midweek though so there could be a little more clarity by the end of Wednesday.

Welcome. Exiled Scot living in the US for now.

Big Jock, you're right it was in 2003 I believe. Celtic were playing a team I can't recall, and were beating them quite handidly. The Rangers game, if I remember, was very high scoring too. Then Sutton mouthed off that they'd laid down!

The way I look at things from now to the end of the season (SPL wise), win all our games now until the end of the season, we need to go back to Easter Road on Wednesday (SETANTA, 7.45PM KO), we win there, I don't see us having a problem in winning the title, if Dundee United get a draw at Celtic Park on Tuesday, I have a funny feeling us Rangers fan will be having a title party on Saturday. Dundee United have it all to play for aswell they want to push past Hearts and into the European spot.

And Thanks to everyone for a warm welcome :)

  • 2 months later...

Hello Im back again after about a month and a half with other internet, which has been really frustrating as I like to keep a close eye on Chelsea and of course Rangers, so for the past month or so it has been Sky Sports News which after a while it goes round in circles.

Im coming to London for the Emirates Cup, when Rangers play that mob and PSG, I shall have my Chelsea top on, when we play Arsenal on the Sunday :P, and hopefully it should be an very enjoyable weekend. I'll be popping over to Stamford Bridge aswell.

All the Best,

Mitch
