His stats look great and he may turn out to be a fantastic buy but after watching him on a few occasions on TV and several clips on youtube I must say Dzeko took full advantage of poor defending in Bundesliga.More than half of the goals I've seen from him are headers and the defense don't even try to compete in the air. There's no chance in hell he'll get anything like that kind of freedom in the PL.

I'd personally prefer someone like Pavel Pogrebnyak(Zenit Saint Petersburg), if Drogba leaves in the summer. Not only he's fast strong and good in the air, he's got a very good ground game for a big man,has a cannonball of a shot and can hold up the play with the best of them. If anybody here watched last season's UEFA Cup or Supercup match between Zenit and MU, you'll know what I'm talking about.

I saw last Wolfsburg game and Dzeko scored. He beat the opponents offside trap and coolly finished into the low corner. A goal from a guy who has done it before.

He isn't super-active so he needs a good pass but he is quite easy to find as he is a tall guy. I think he would love to have some of those Lampard's long passes. He is in great form and he is still young. These are the type of players we need to track imo.

He is my fellow countryman and the person most responsible for the success of our national team this year.

I'm not sure that he is ready for a team like Chelsea, but he is young and given time he just might be.

looking at abrams first video, Ihave to say that I am lees than convinced, he seems to have the knack of being in the right place at the right time but shows very little ability.

Best clubs in europe are after him, 17 goals in few months in Bundesliga is not easy to score!

I think the he would be a great buy, he scored som superb goals, and he also hase done some good assists.

In 87 games he scored 50 goals and 22 assists in all competition!

I was thinking the same thing, seemed like each goal was a rebound or a free header.

Here is my favorite he just scored against Belgium in the qualifiers...

And I agree, that video pretty much shows just tap-ins, but he does score great goals as the one I just posted as well...

Bosnian, that goal you posted is....wow. What a curler.

Even if we dont get someone like Dzeko or Pogrebnyak (who I cant remember from the Supercup game too much, but I know his name has been often mentioned for moving to a "big" team soon) its encouraging that these are the kind of strikers we are chasing. Not big names, but guys who are ready to make the jump to a top league. Smaller fees, lesser expectations and still young and hungry enough that they have something to prove

There you go, that's what we need. We had this in abundance when Jose came and he turned us into winners. Now we need more of the same. Dzeko could well be one of those to fit the bill and at 23 with Franco Di Santo some three years younger we could have a strong strike force for a while to come coupled with the experience of DD and Nico to bring them through.

I really do hope that the club sign Dzeko. For me Dzeko is a very talented player that would do a very good job up front for the club. I am surpised that we have not gone after his strike partner Grafite. They have been explosive and is the sort of strike force that we used to have in Hasselbaink and Gudjohnsen.

Roman: Get Dzeko! :happy0034:

Hard to put a price on a player I've only really seen on YouTube , he def looks the business and the type of player tailor made for the premiership. His first goal yesterday was quality 1st Goal
