Ranieri. Good God, only 2 games in and Roma are bottom of the Serie A and Spalletti "leaves" to be replaced by Ranieri. According to Claudio's agent, he'll take the helm on a 2 year deal

Tinkerman

Makes no sense to me. Spalletti was thought of as a very good manager, who managed to make a lot out of a decent squad. If they are willing to replace him after just two games, they must be more panicky than we are or have a thing for Ranieri.

Isn't AS Roma the club he supported as a boy?

Good luck to him, I've always had a soft spot for Claudio. I treasure my "Don't tinker with the Tinkerman" t-shirt  .

im fairly sure roma was where he started as a player so i would think hes got some sort of affinity to them.

I have to say that when I heard about this I was very surprised. Spalletti is a really good manager and has done wonders with Roma even though they haven't won anything. Losing the first two games of the season isn't the end of the world. First they lost against Genoa who has a good strong team. And it was a narrow win. The defence let the team down in that one. The same with the next when they faced mighty Juventus.

So it's not like they lost to two bad teams.

And to replace him with Ranieri who was mediocre at best when he managed Juventus is just stupid. Replacing a proven good manager with an idiot. Nice move Roma.

Oh well, I wont complain. This will probably mean that Roma wont be near the top of the table this year. One less opponent to worry about.

I always love to hear when the great man is back and kicking. I have no love for Roma but would certainly love to see them cause some upsets now.

Go on tinkerman
