Close run thing with The Doors' "Strange Days" in terms of high-profile bands. Hal Blaine, legendary studio "Wrecking Crew" drummer, used the Moog on a couple of experimental albums prior to both The Doors and The Monkees. There's an episode of the outstanding podcast "History of Rock Music in 500 Songs" devoted to the Moog's earliest involvements. Only one person, Paul Beaver, was proficient on the instrument. He was a busy, busy, busy fella going from session to session in the early days.

    Yep. I am familiar with Mr.Hickey. Wonderful show. Cornell University is the home of the Moog.

    Beach Boys - Long Promised Road - that is a Mooog Classic

    Bob Marley and the Wailers - Stir it up - another Moog-a-licious tune
    (bob Marley was my first ever concert incidentally)
