Hutch Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 three for the price of one: Burnley hope to seal a deal for Jack Cork on season-long loan from Chelsea Burnley are hoping to sign Chelsea midfielder Jack Cork on another season loan. The 21-year-old impressed towards the end of last season scoring one goal in 11 games. Chelsea striker Franco Di Santo, who has interested Wigan and Bolton, is wanted on loan by Panathinaikos. Chelsea have pipped Manchester United to Burkina Faso midfield prodigy Bertrand Traore, 14. LINK
mad_mac Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 If it means more playing time for Cork, then it can't be a good move but I also feel it'll be a chance of him to show off to other clubs. Also, I think Di Santo is as good as done at Chelsea, which is a shame because I had high hopes for him, and felt he could be our new Crespo
evissy Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 I want to know more about this 14 year old prodigy Take this out of the context and it may sound disturbing Franco could do well in the Championship or in some other country perhaps. I see no development in Franco from the time he got here. We should sell him no matter what.
wicksy Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Franco could do well in the Championship or in some other country perhaps. I see no development in Franco from the time he got here. We should sell him no matter what. Agreed, with the emphasis on SELL rather than loan
Planet Drogba Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 The loan move to Burnley is now complete, according to the official site. I sincerely hope he does well.
Hutch Posted August 14, 2010 Author Posted August 14, 2010 well out of these three potential deals, i think we've already signed Bertrand Traore, Jack Cork has gone to Burnley on loan, and Di Santo to Panathinaikos has fallen through, with Wigan currently thought to be in taking Di Santo on a season-long loan.
Bobbywoodhogan Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 I'd say Di Santos days are numbered with us tbh
PloKoon13 Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 I wasn't sure where exactly to post this, but it turns out Jack Cork's full name is: Jack Frank Porteous Cork
dkw Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 I wasn't sure where exactly to post this, but it turns out Jack Cork's full name is: Jack Frank Porteous Cork Frank? what a ridiculous middle name...... :)
