Deservedly imo. Didn´t do anything but spend relatively big on Scottish players who are yet to establish themselves in Championship(Boyd, Robson etc). Although he made one great signing (Tarmo Kink;)) he still didn´t do what was expected as they were considered as the favourites in championship. Hopefully they will find a good replacement who can guide the back to the better places. Actully I don´t give a f**k about them as long as Kink is doing well:)

I was surprised he got the job in the first place. He's one of those managers who has never excelled in English football yet seems to always be on the shortlist when jobs come up - recent past times you can add to this the likes of Peter Reid, Neil Warnock, 'Harry' Bassett......feel free to add more

I was surprised when they showed Southgate the door to accommodate Strachan, that was an aweful decision and things have only downhill for Boro ever since. Curious to see who the successor would be, any guesses ?

Rumours are he tore up his contract and walked away without any compen. Not many managers that would do that, fair play to the wee ginge.

Well if that is indeed true then one should respect the man for his integrity, though Boro have been ridiculous in this whole saga.

What exactly have Boro done to make him walk? I know theyre not doing that well but i havent heard anything that suggests its down to anything more than players not performing which is his job to sort out.

I think thats because of his hilarious press conferences. Someone should get a Euro 2012 panel of him, Holloway and Marcel together, it would be pure magic.

Tony Mowbray is apparently favourite for the job. Not a bad choice tbh. Not a Premier League manager but proven in Championship.

funny how mowbary took of the celtic job from gordon then sold aloud of celtic players to boro now he will be in charge of does same players he did nt think were good enough for celtic. poor tony is stuck with them again. if he gets the job

Tony Mowbray has indeed been unveiled as the manager of Middlesbrough. It would be interesting to see how things pan out at Riverside given promotion looks a long shot now.
