Posted February 2, 201114 yr Beyond reckless and yet Muscat has the temerity to give the ref a mouthful for sending him off. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwHzCtRa2SE
February 2, 201114 yr I've never hated someone that's played for Australia more than I hate Muscat. He's an absolute prick on the pitch, and should have been booted out of the game years and years ago. No one in any league he's played him respects him as a player...well, at least not the ones with their heads screwed on.
February 2, 201114 yr I saw this the other week. Didn't he get an 8 week ban which will bring his career to an end?
February 2, 201114 yr Very poor, but massive over-reaction by some comments saying it was the worst tackle ever. I've seen plenty that were worse.

February 3, 201114 yr No doubt it wasn't the worst tackle in the world...but Muscat has always been a blight on the game, and an angry man (at least on field...I don't know him off it). The player that got injured was lucky he didn't need a full knee reconstruction...there was damage to all ligaments in his knee, but none of them tore. He had an operation and should be back for the start of next season. He was also lucky his hands were able to stop him landing on his head, such was the force of the tackle, and the momentum he had.
February 3, 201114 yr I am glad to hear that about the player who was fouled. Thanks for the update, Cam.
February 3, 201114 yr No worries, I love the A-League, the quality is improving gradually as the league gets older...and my team is about to seal the minor premiership (finishing the season on top of the ladder, before a finals series)...so it's been a good season on that front

Unfortunately, the MLS has decreased in quality over the last few years, and I think it is becuase the best players are leaving for greener pastures, like Clint Dempsey to Fulham and a lot of young guys who have gone to the Bundesliga.
February 3, 201114 yr It may not be the worst tackle ever, but its certainly up there. The young lad was very lucky not to have a much worse injury, it was a cowards tackle and not the first time this horrible scrote has done it either.
February 3, 201114 yr Muscat already ended one players career and had to pay him 600,000 dollars (I think)
