From BBC: 2143: Close to a debut goal for Gael Kakuta, but the Fulham loanee shoots straight at Newcastle keeper Steve Harper from 16 yards from Moussa Dembele.

STURRIDGE GOAL IN STOPPAGE TIME!

Wins it for Bolton in stoppage time, final score 1-0. He hardly had any balls to work with, infact just 1 and he nicks it at the end when Zubar f**ks up a back-pass to the goalie.

Killer instinct from Sturridge!

Lovely ball earlier on from Kakuta to put Dempsey through, who should have done better with only the keeper to beat.

Both players will very good starts. I said this in another thread. Kakuta looks like a pefect #10. Great passing today with some through balls. Dempsey should have scored. Also had two really good chances to score himself.

It was nice vision from him wasnt it, seemed to be playing behind the striker as a No10 and did quite well. Had one good chance with a snap shot and one good run during the game, Ive a feeling he will do well at Fulham as hes different to anything they currently have.

Here's an interesting one:

Patrick van Aanholt warns Leicester City over Jacob Mellis as Barnsley dangerman

Patrick van Aanholt has picked out Barnsley midfielder Jacob Mellis as a man to watch this afternoon – and he should know better than most.

The Leicester City defender, who is making his home debut after joining on loan from Chelsea, was a team-mate of Mellis in the youth team at Stamford Bridge and the Dutchman knows his good friend could be a threat to at the Walkers Stadium.

Mellis, an England Under-19 international, has joined the Tykes on loan and produced a man-of-the-match performance as Mark Robins's side beat Preston North End 2-0 on Tuesday night to close to within two points of City.

"Me and Jacob are really close and good friends," said van Aanholt.

"He is midfielder and one to watch.

"They are a decent side and they won in the week. Jacob won man of the match in his first game, so he did great.

"Jacob told me they love to keep the ball and play it around, which will suit us and make it an interesting game. We love to keep the ball as well.

"He said they were going to beat us but I am not sure about that."

Van Aanholt said he was relishing making his home debut and experiencing the Walkers crowd for the first time.

He made his full debut in the 1-0 win over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Tuesday night.

"It was a difficult game to have as my first one but it was all about winning the game and that is what we did," he said.

"We couldn't play as we wanted to play as it was a difficult pitch. We had to play the ball long and compete for the second balls and I think we did that well.

"Now I am looking forward to my first game at the Walkers Stadium, in front of my home crowd. I am sure it will be great and we will be able to play more football than on Tuesday.

"I have trained on the pitch before and it is different class, and the stadium looks good."Patrick van Aanholt has picked out Barnsley midfielder Jacob Mellis as a man to watch this afternoon – and he should know better than most.
