And now we have to go a little non-Chelsea for 4 minutes. As many people of the era are around here in this thread and as this website is called the Shed End I feel it's in its place to give a little credit to Liverpool for the rise of the football "End". As we know Clifford Webb's letter to the Chelsea programme in the 60's suggested calling the Chelsea covered terracing "The Shed". But Webb based his idea on the Kop and said so in his letter.

This 1964 BBC Panorama clip is both interesting, entertaining and amusing. So from an Old Shedite to all old Kopites: Thanks for the memories: (I just wished you Scouse bästards had not bricked our bus in 1978).

1979-80

Remember that one New years day wasn't it? Very cold day and silly o clock kick off, had to walk to Morden to get first tube at about 6am.

Oops just read your comments above, ignore the question mate

Dont suppose you have come accross Palace Man Utd - the 3-5 from 70-71. I was there and got myself on TV after the game.

Another game I'd like to see in full is Spurs - Man Utd league cup, 29th August 79, as my brother got himself on TV.

I have the Palace v Man U game for sure? The Spurs League Cup I. Would have to check as I have quite a few of their games

I will send you a personal YouTube of that Palace game when I get up later

Just found it on the open You tube, I can see myself but not as clearly as I remember. Maybe your version ends a little bit after the version on Youtube.

A few old Chelsea players in that. And an incredible overhead kick off the line by Bobby Charlton.

Chelsea vs Wolves was covered twice on The Big Match.

02/Oct 1971 Chelsea 3 (Baldwin, Houseman, Hollins) Wolverhampton W. 1 (McCalliog)

11/Dec 1976 Chelsea 3 (Wilkins, Britton, Finneston) Wolverhampton W. 3 (Richards 2, Gould)

Match of The Days are harder to come by. Over to Eddie Mac...

During my chasing years some games were deemed lost, damaged or erased.

Anythng pre 1969-70 from ITV are not available ( full highlights anyway) there are goals knocking around though.

The BBC will have goals for most games, but not highlights

Games from ITV gone to TV heaven, or shall I say I dont have are:

30/Sep/1970 Chelsea 5 (Hollins 2, Hutchison 2, Hinton) Aris Thessaloniki 1 (Alexiadis) [ECWC R1 L2]……….I have 4 of the 6 goals scored

09/Jan/1971 Chelsea 1 (Hudson) Manchester United 2 (Morgan(pen), Gowling)……….I have Hudson and Gowling goal only

02/Oct/1971 Chelsea 3 (Baldwin, Houseman, Hollins) Wolverhampton W. 1 (McCalliog)………. I have the John Hollins goal

05/Jan/1972 Tottenham Hotspur 2 (Chivers, Peters(pen)) Chelsea 2 (Garland, Hudson) [League Cup SF L2]………. I have Chris Garland's goal

05/Jan/1974 Chelsea 0 Queens Park Rangers 0 [FA Cup R3]………….I have John Phillips saving Gerry Francis penalty at the Northend

12/Jan/1977 Chelsea 0 Southampton 3 (Macdougall, Channon, Peach(pen)) [FA Cup R3 Replay]……….Absolutely Nowt

12/Oct/1985 Chelsea 2 (Dixon, Speedie) Everton 1 (Sheedy)………..There was a TV strike or problems for that season and most games went to Australia and other places, this was apparently filmed, but I have not got it

Are the 13-0 and/or the 8-0 against Jeunesse Hautcharage available?

Sure I heard somewhere that they had a 1 armed player and another one who wore glasses during the game.

Conclusive evidence would be good

Some great stuff being posted up by Garry Jones and Eddie Mac, ::clap2::
