The taking over of Loftus Road as usual. Loved the West Brom away too, great singing by a Chelsea away support which I'd have though is the earliest on film ? ZIGGER ZAGGER !!

Love the West Brom. Home fans clapping our goals. That's the way football should be.

I must admit I was suprised by the applause Leeds got after beating us to extend their unbeaten run.

I once clapped when Charlie George scored a great goal against us. - 24th April 1982, we lost 2-0, C.G.'s goal sealed our fate coming as it did in the last few minutes. However I really had to clap it as it was truly a moment of footballing genius. I was in the benches and got "stared" at by the Chelsea faithful.

Maybe if football could be played in this kind of atmosphere Anton would have helped Terry out and Fergusson would have instructed Rooney to pass to our keeper on both penalties last week because of the refs mistake.

Nice uploads. Greenaway can be heard on the West Brom clip (1965 after 1.57 doing the zigger-zagger.). Someone reckons that he is in the West Ham Northbank on TV in 68 or 69. Poss match of the day. So any West Ham v Chelsea from 68-69 would be great. Anyone?

Got to say fella's this is the best thread on these forums.

Love to see more of games between 81-83 as I never missed a game

home or away during this period.

> Works for me, thankfully !

Works for me again now. Great!

> Bit harsh on those of us, me included, who sang silly songs when we were silly kids mate.

Sorry mate that one always hit a nerve with me, my Uncle was a D.I. over in West London. Drove my Auntie mad worrying he was gonna get shot as well. Singing "Harry Roberts is my friend, he kills coppers" was about as low as Chelsea fans could ever get. One of the darkest moments of our history. Don't get me wrong, I did my fair share of childish hating and used to dream a Chelsea helicopter would circulate above Upton Park with Chelsea gunmen killing every single West Ham fan dead, men, women and children alike. I just found the Harry Roberts song too over the top and hated hearing it.

Thanks for the Luton game,

Date: Tuesday, 1st January 1980

Competition: Football League Division 2 Position 3

Venue: Kenilworth Road

Attendance: 19,717

Referee: David Letts (Basingstoke)

Luton Town Findlay, Stephens, Aizlewood, Price, Saxby, Donaghy, Hill, West, B Stein, Hatton, Moss

Scorers Donaghy 35, Saxby 44, Moss 75

Manager David Pleat

Chelsea 1 Petar Borota, 2 Gary Locke, 3 John Sparrow, 4 Gary Chivers, 5 Colin Pates, 6 John Bumstead, 7 Ian Britton, 8 Mike Fillery, 9 Tommy Langley, 10 Clive Walker, 11 Ron Harris

Scorers Fillery 8, Britton 47, Walker 76

Manager Geoff Hurst

This was an 11.00 kickoff on January 1st 1980. Most of our boys has come direct from New-Year Eve's parties.

Fillery's goal came after 7 minutes (I know it says 8). However, all the other morning Kick-offs were at 11.15,

So that Fillery goal is the first goal scored anywhere in the world in any match in the 1980's. I was there.
