So my HTCs USB port has broke and its mainly my fault for using the phone at work which is not really ideal thanks to all the dust and concrete which end up in my pockets every now and then.

So a new phone is needed and I really dont want to spend another 350-500p on a new one so I've been looking at the Sony Xperia Arc S - released roughly the same time as my incredible s and looks like a decent phone for a rather good price, any feedback from you guys on that one? been looking at a few reviews and I like the look of it, actually almost bought that one before instead of the inc s.

The next one, really want an iPad 2 or a Samsung Tab as they are dropping in price and as I dont own a laptop and are not really keen on another pc these two seem to be the ideal choice.

Mainly what I want to be able to do is just basically surf, come on match chat here with you guys and stream series/watch a movie every now and then (youtube, twitter and facebook etc)

Read that the iPad struggle to use youtube and such so that would pretty much rule that one out I think and im not really sure about the Samsung tab, is it good enough?

Any feedback would be nice, especially if you own any of these things - cheers!

Ive got the original Samsung tab 7" and its a belter, wife uses it all the time. I have a Galaxy S2 also which is a great phone, you should be able to get one of those fairly cheap now that the S3 is out.

Checked the 8.9 Samsung tab out, looks like ill be getting that! The Galaxy S2 is still pretty expensive here, Sony Xperia about 100p cheaper and as im getting the tab as well I want to get away as cheap as possible :P

I will moi, I will!

Pretty sure the samsung tab will let me do that, can finally start watching the games downstairs and chat at the same time!

Please, for your own sake, do not get a Samsung tablet. Unless you're planning to root it and put custom roms on it, don't. Get an Asus one, the Transformer Prime should be too expensive, but a cheaper one will do. Also the Motorola Xoom (Xoom 2 not in your price range I guess).

The Xperia S is a great choice. It's not behind the S2 in any way, even beats it in many. And if you happen to like its design, you will love the device all together.

I've had the galaxy s the s2 the sony xperia s and now the Galaxy s3 and I have to say although I only used the sony xperia s for a couple of weeks between losing my galaxy s2 and getting my galaxy s3 I think its a blinding phone, I just got the S3 and I am almost selling it and going back to the Sony...the build quality of the Sony feels better and I haven't found much I can do on the samsung that I can't on the Sony and the sony gos in my pocket easier.

Yeah chippy, picking it up today this afternoon - actually rather shocked by the price of it its only 230p compared to the s2 which is around 350p still over here!

Really? whats wrong with it stock?

Yeah definitely getting the xperia S, love the design.

Let's just say it's badly optimised. Samsung tablets, especially mid and lower end ones are slow, and lag like hell. I've tried the TAB 10.1 and I was really disappointed, it was so choppy and slow, and it was in its stock mode, even without any apps, so imagine it with lots of apps etc. I have also used my friends Transformer Prime, which belonged in the same price range as the TAB, and now the TAB 2 and it just blew it away. Just watch a few videos of it, and you will quickly notice this.

Yeah checked out the ASUS transformer tf300 and it looks really nice, not really sure if I need the 3G version as its a lot more expensive compared to wifi only!

It is, and don't forget you also need a data plan.. So if you will just use it for the forum chat, or generally at home, no need for that. Also most public places have WiFi anyways.

Just got a Samsung Tab, it came free with a camera I bought, I need some help trying to get my iTunes stuff onto it, I see their are a couple of bits of software available for download, does anyone have any experience of these? Any advice as to which is best?

I'm using something called isyncr to sync music between my Samsung phone and iTunes. It cost a couple of quid to buy and works over wifi which is nice, but I think there is also a free version available that only works over USB.
