Please excuse me if I've massively overlookd something, but I cannot understand why on earth every single game isn't televised.

Take last night's game for example, let's just say hypothetically you could pay £6 to watch it. The money is then split £2 to the club, £2 to the broadcaster, and £2 to the FA.

You get to watch the game without having to spend lots on travel etc

You get to support your club financially

The FA gets some money to put into development

I think the usual arguement is 'it'd mean less people go to games' but would it, really? I try to go to as many games as possible, but when I have to travel 200 miles and then pay £50 to see Chelsea play Stoke it's not exactly viable to do that twice a week, not to mention the limited availability of away tickets.

If anything I see that as another benefit - it'd possibly bring the price of tickets down, but the club wouldn't lose out because they'd be making so much by broadcasting it - remember as well this would be a global thing, how many people world wide would have paid to watch us play against Wolves last night?

The guy from WAGNH said that he found it funny he can find Sabadell games (2nd league Spanish team Ulises Davila plays for) pretty easily but not a single live feed for the European champions.

It's crazy tbh.

I mean I have watched every single Rangers game this season, Ramsden cup games (named after a chip shop buisnessman) and SFL3 games (the bottom division in Scotland). Now if I can get all of these streamed then why is there no live coverage of Chelsea in a cup game?

It may because Rangers have a service available (RangersTV) which allows overseas fans to watch the games in real time and thus streams are found on the net, however I understand we do not have such a function available probably due to TV rights.

If every game was televised then fans who say support Man Utd but go to their local teams will no longer go. Their local team will almost certainly see a drop in attendance, which is why games are not allowed to be televised at 3pm on a saturday in England I think.

I have heard that attendance would be affected but last night games like City (who only had 20 odd thousand) and Celtic ( a pathetic 9 thousand) were not televised and the attendance was still pretty poor.

It's proven fact that for clubs outside the top 6/8 in the country when games are televised there is a dramatic drop in attendance.

Certainly at Chelsea, Saturday 3pm games sell out quicker than near enough any other bar United, Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal.

You would end up with Spanish like television deals being made and the gulf in class between the top 4 and everyone else would be even worse.
