May 6, 201412 yr Oi mates, lots to do in the office, so there is not so much time for the forum. You like jokes? A Texan walks into a pub in Ireland and clears his voice to the crowd ofdrinkers. He says, "I hear you Irish are a bunch of hard drinkers. I'llgive $500 American dollars to anybody in here who can drink 10 pints ofGuinness back-to-back."The room is quiet and no one takes up the Texan's offer. One man evenleaves. Thirty minutes later the same gentleman who left shows back up andtaps the Texan on the shoulder. "Is your bet still good?", asks theIrishman. The Texan says yes and asks the bartender to line up 10 pints of Guinness.Immediately the Irishman tears into all 10 of the pint glasses drinkingthem all back-to-back. The other pub patrons cheer as the Texan sits inamazement. The Texan gives the Irishman the $500 and says, "If ya don't mind measkin', where did you go for that 30 minutes you were gone?"The Irishman replies, "Oh...I had to go to the pub down the street to seeif I could do it first". I suppose he was a dedicated follower of Linfield F.C., wasn´t he? Cheers, Ralph
May 8, 201412 yr Author Great! A brotherhood of men and women in blue! Didn't know that. And is that ratified? Are there activities?
May 8, 201412 yr The vast majority of supporters won´t even know that. But diehard fans will know and come together at certain matches. There are even banners known with the 3 clubs in unity under the orange hand.
May 9, 201412 yr Author A group of Chelsea fans came also to Genk. In the nineties. Perhaps you know that too, Ralph?
May 9, 201412 yr No I did not hear about that. I only know that some boys from Beershot travelled to the bridge to socialize with the shed boys, but I don´t know, if it worked or failed. Tell me what happend at Genk - interesting to find out. In the nineties I was retired.
May 9, 201412 yr Author Yes. The early nineties. About 10, 20 Chelsea fans, so once and a while. I remember The Union Jack with 'Chelsea' on it and an England flag with 'Bleus on tour'. And blue 'Genk - Chelsea' scarves. I don't know what the connection was. A new Begian football club and the colour blue I suppose.
