Absolutely agree with you - it´s the one and only JT, and, by the way, pace is only important, when your positioning is subpar.

No one, as I'm sure Tuchel doesn't either, should believe that we have no chance to win the league. City are potentially poorer than last season - they need to replace 30 goals of Sterling and Jesus with 2 players who are as yet untested in the league and their system. Liverpool lost their best attacker, one of the best in Europe, and the replacement is untested.
Assuming everyone stays fit, and we sign another CB - we have one of the best defence and midfield first choices in Europe. We now also have one of the top two left wingers in the league. Our issues are related to rotational options who want to leave and/or are not suitable for the system. But at the same time we now have Emerson who is an improvement on Alonso (for this system) and Gallagher back.
We have a chance, but TT will need to work some magic though.

You forgot to mention that he’s the best at spitting too, and probably has got a few spitting contest medals in his room to show what he’s won in his career at the spuds.

I hate it when he's made a victim of that.
It was he who signed his name onto those juicy new contracts knowing what Levy was like, no one else.

I really hope this season TT rebuilds fortress Stamford Bridge.
Used to be sides like Brentford, Bouremouth, Wolves, Everton etc woild come to the Bridge knowing they were beat before a ball was kicked, and us going in front just confirmed it for them.
More recently though it does not matter how sh*t you are we will encourage you over and over again.
Far from being a side no one wants to play, no body comes to the bridge in fear anymore. That needs to change.

Enjoy yourself mate.  Usually I make one of the US Tour stops, but I just can't make it work this year.  I've done SEattle a couple of times, and Minneapolis the last time the team were here.  If you're US based and have twitter, follow Chelsea In America.  They usually set things up outside of the game and have had past players at loads of events.  Sadly the guy I know within the org isn't able to attend this year either

As it stands currently our only recognised striker, if we consider Werner to be a winger, why are we even contemplating selling him? Surely the value of keeping him in the squad outweighs the small transfer fee we'd recieve

I don't think the comparison is fair. Werner is more like a winger in a Chelsea shirt, Broja is a striker, they may not even be in direct competition with each other. Also, it's much harder to move Werner on because of his wages.

If we sell Broja and keep Werner more questions will be asked around Tuchel's choices. Rightly so.

Unless Boehly wants us to go all in on a title at all costs next season I would be happy enough to get De Ligt and (Raheem) Sterling (if we can somehow hijack the De Jong deal to United then him too) and then reacess next summer when we have a proper structure in place.
Tuchel is too good a manager to fail at getting top four and with Gallagher, Broja, Colwill and maybe (Dujon) Sterling and Maatsen good enough to play a role to some degree or another that's a lot of added depth and fresh bodies.

Agreed. We've been looking to Europe and failed more often looking for cheaper deals. I'm not saying there aren't better ones overseas but at least we don't fail as much when buying *the best player of the team* in the league.

Free transfers appear to be as complicated as any these days, what with the expectations on the player side for a huge agent fee, a huge signing on fee, and astronomical wages ...

Am I being an idiot by saying I really miss him already...
Yes it's still early with the new owners but it's hard to even think how they can care for this club as much as Roman did.

    From today's Telegraph
Roman Abramovich, the Russian oligarch and former Chelsea Football Club owner, negotiated humanitarian corridors out of Mariupol and other cities besieged by Moscow's army, a Ukrainian official has said.
David Arakhamia, a Ukrainian MP and head of its peace negotiating team, said that Mr Abramovich was pivotal in saving the lives of Ukrainian civilians.
"Most of the agreements were reached through him,” Mr Arakhamia told Voice of America in an interview. “He did a good job with regard to humanitarian corridors from Mariupol, Berdyansk, Zaporizhya, but could not help with the corridors from Bucha and Makarov, the north of Kyiv and Chernihiv regions."
A woman arriving at an evacuation point Zaporizhya, having fled Mariupol following the Russian bombardment CREDIT: Roman Pilipey/Shutterstock Mr Abramovich has played the role of a go-between during the war, helping to organise peace talks in Istanbul in April.
He had not previously been named as helping to set up humanitarian corridors out of cities shelled by Russian artillery and then occupied by Russian soldiers.
In his interview, Mr Arakhamia does not make it clear if Mr Abramovich set up humanitarian corridors into Russia. There has been criticism that some Ukrainian civilians have been pressured into going to Russian cities against their will.
Russia is on the verge of taking the city of Severodonetsk, in the Luhansk region of Donbas, although there are still civilians hiding in the Azot chemical plant with Ukrainian soldiers.
Mr Arakhamia said that Mr Abramovich may be called upon to help set up another humanitarian corridor out of the plant. "As soon as the opportunity arises, I will definitely call Abramovich to protect Ukrainian interests,” he said.
Mr Abramovich, who sold the Chelsea Football Club this year under pressure from the Government, has not commented. He bought Chelsea Football Club in 2003.
Peace talks between Ukraine and Russia have stalled since the failure of the Istanbul meeting, although Mr Arakhamia did raise the prospect of them restarting in August.
Dmitry Medvedev, the deputy head of Russia's Security Council, responded through his Telegram channel that this was unlikely.

    Sterling Havertz Raphinha
    Mount Kante Kovacic

Pffft. Previous owner signed 20 players in his first month in charge. Todd's been slacking off.
