Am I the only one out there desperate enough for football to be watching this?

Got to say the more I see of womens football the more I'd like to get involved, it seems like a far purer version of the game, some real good football being played.

I saw our local girls team training last year and was so impressed with their focus and willingness compared to the boys team training on the next pitch.

No chance of getting my daughter interested at the moment though.

I watched a Women's Champions League game last year and it was woeful to be honest(and apparantley they were two of the top teams).

I saw that as well and totally agree, some of it is excellent though. Shame more of the coaches can't come up with tactics fiit for the girls playing instead of trying to make them play the same as men.

Agreed plus the women's game doesn't have the cheating and diving that the mens game does.

 

I know I posted this earlier on a different thread but this is the Iran's womens football team. 4 of them were found to be men

I like the no diving, rolling around and cheating that's not really prominent in the womens game and the tackling is quite good!

However a lot of the passing and shooting can be absolutely grim and frustrating to watch.

The goalkeepers are horrendous.

I watched a women's match once and it was so bad it was just pure comedy, they couldn't control the ball and almost every pass went out. The amount of throw ins must've been 50+.

If it isn't already they need to adjust the size of the pitch and goalposts, can't imagine there being many 6 foot 5 female goalies in the world.

I watched the Mexico vs Colombia match, but not because I'm desperate for football to watch.
