April 10, 201511 yr http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/england/2015/04/10/10632162/chelsea-loanee-wallace-arrested not good to read The right-back, on loan at Vitesse, was reportedly arrested at 4am local time in the city centre and has immediately been handed the maximum fine by the Eredivisie outfit and dropped from the weekend league trip to Excelsior. Wallace, who was signed by Chelsea from Fluminense in 2013, broke Vitesse rules by visiting bars within 48 hours of a league game. "We still don't know what exactly happened," Police spokesman Paul Koetsier is quoted by NTL as saying. "That must be found out during the investigation. "We can't make it more concrete than a suspicion of a sexual offence. Maybe there will me more information later today." Vitesse spokesperson Wiebe Nelissen added: "We also understand that Wallace was arrested on suspicion of an offense. "We will not speculate on the nature of the suspicion. First the facts need to be clear and we want to hear his side of the story. Then we can judge." An official Vitesse statement added: "Wallace won't be in the selection for the match against Excelsior. The Brazilian defender was arrested last night in the centre of Arnhem on suspicion of an offence. "Based on the fact that he is to refrain from going out in the 48 hours before a match, Vitesse immediately decided Wallace will be out of the team and will receive a maximum fine. "Vitesse has no further announcements." Edited April 10, 201511 yr by Tea Bar Boy
April 10, 201511 yr Thought he was a bit of a twat when he went to Inter instead of Vitesse. This doesn't help.
April 10, 201511 yr Well that is extremely unpleasant to hear. Obviously we can't pass judgement on the arrest without knowing more, but it certainly doesn't bode well that he was out clubbing in such close proximity to a league game. His two loan spells have been far from an unqualified success. He played less than a half of league football at Inter last season, and has barely featured for Vitesse since the turn of the year. From the little I've seen he doesn't seem to have much in terms of defensive instincts; worth noting that Vitesse haven't recorded a single clean sheet this season with Wallace starting. Something tells me he's not going to make it at Chelsea...
April 10, 201511 yr He won't be prosecuted. The victim decided to not file a complaint. I think we should get rid of Wallace asap. He doesn't even have a spot in the starting XI of Vitesse.
April 10, 201511 yr Thought he was a bit of a twat when he went to Inter instead of Vitesse. This doesn't help.why does choosing inter over vitesse make him a twat exactly?
April 10, 201511 yr Until we know..., but another footballer in the spot light, trial by media perhaps.
April 10, 201511 yr why does choosing inter over vitesse make him a twat exactly? Because he was a young man who needed to actually play football and that was very unlikely at Inter. As it was he played less than 150 minutes of football and the loan was terminated.
April 10, 201511 yr Yeah, that makes him a twat. You massive hypocrite. I assume this is related to the Sterling comments because in your mind both are showing ambition and whilst I commended Sterling for backing himself to play in the CL, I'm criticising Wallace (a player who had just played 30 games in the Brazilian league) for choosing Inter over VItesse? Fair enough. I actually said I thought he was a 'bit of a twat' which is possibly just semantics, but I think there's a difference between a Champions League player who is being offered £100k p/w choosing to explore other options and a lad who has done absolutely nothing of note as yet and needs minutes more than anything. Different scenarios in my opinion but I respect your opinion mate.
April 10, 201511 yr nope. Nope it isn't related to those comments? Then why are you calling me a hypocrite....sorry, massive hypocrite? If you don't feel like you can explain then that's fine. Edited April 10, 201511 yr by Blue Daze
August 27, 201510 yr Came on for the last 20 minutes of Carpi's 5-2 defeat against Sampdoria at the weekend (they conceded all five goals in the first half) and got an 'assist'. Assist is in quotation marks as the goal was an absolute belter; not exactly a moment of creative genius but still.

I heard he's failed as wingback due to his poor defensive attributes and is now being deployed as a wide midfielder. Do you know anything about that?
August 27, 201510 yr Instead of Wallace, Id rather have Jay Dasilva come in and challenge for a rotational squad spot. He may be undersized, but that will and determination sticks out, shows he has character to play and isnt afraid. Would love see him called up against Walsall, bloody, Id like to see a young core of players take the field against Walsall.
