lauren
can we stop the mank machine from winning their last games even if we beat them in the league? Are we likely to catch them bearing in mind their GD is miles better than ours. Let's be realistic - will we win it three times in a row or have to be content with second place? Riccardo
With each game they win, the premiership for the Mancs looks more and more likely. But one slip up and the pressure mounts. How they respond under the pressure is going to indicate how likely they are going to win .... or lose. And it is only going to get worse, like us they are getting to the business end of three competitions. If it were 2 points difference at the moment, and it was going to come down to us having to win the head to head clash, I'd put all my money on us because honestly I think we have more mettle. But the reality is we have to rely on 2 of Blackburn (10th), Portsmouth (9th), Middlesbrough (12th), Everton (8th), Man City (15th), and West Ham (19th) to match them on the scoreboard - and we still have to WIN every game. The sooner they slip up the tougher the task is going to be for them.
geezer
All we can do is keep winning our games and hope they slip up. It's their title to lose rather than ours to win however we need to ensure we are in a postiuon where we can take advantage should the unlikely happen. Paul_Seery
This would be the greatest title win by Chelsea if we are able to trun it around but it is not looking likely. Also it actually might be worth losing the game at home to United this season, that way we would be more likely to win next season.
mbh
Also it actually might be worth losing the game at home to United this season, You are joking? tell me you were not well yesterday, then I understand you're moment of silly statementness. If we do not win the title (war) this season, at least lets win that GAME (battle).

If we do not win the title (war) this season, at least lets win that GAME (battle). I would like to see us win this season, really I would , but in the grand scheme of things If we have the option of winning either match would you rather win this season when we are not going to win the title or next season, when we might need it to win the title. Also there will be a point in the next couple of years when we will loose at home to them. It will happen and if it happens I would rather lose this season. Also I will say this: Law of averages. I know it is silly but in the last two season I have been right. Liverpool in the Champions League semi-final (2004-2006) and Liverpool in the FA Cup (2005-2006). icecoolguy22
Make Manu win the title, rather than we lose it ! If we win all the remaining matches and ManU still ended up steaing the title, I will be as happy as winning the title for the third time.. forbzy
Its a shame we hadn't pushed for a few more foals over the last few months. If we could have got the goal difference gap down to 7 or 8 goals by this stage we might have had a chance of closing it up fully. Lets not forget that if we manage to beat United each goal we win by will reduce the gap by 2 goals. Anyway 15 goals is too much to make up I think so we will have to rely on the unlikely scenario of United dropping significant points. Can't see it happening at this stage but I think we would have to look at Everton and City away as our best hopes. They will most likely win the rest of their home games but we can always hope for a freak result. As it has already been put though I'd rather United are forced to win it than we lose it. All we can do is keep winning. If United end up winning it after that than fair play to them.
