Yeah I meant the old standing East Enclosure. They seated it and the West Enclosure in 1994.

There is a clip on youtube of the East Enclosure going crazy after Richard Gough scoring the equaliser in the 2-2 game in 87/88 season. The same game when Butcher, Woods and McAvennie were sent off and Roberts going in goal. At the end Roberts was conducting the Copland Road End.

If safe standing is introduced in grounds, the Enclosures at Ibrox would be a great place to have them. If at Stamford Bridge,, possibly in the lower tiers of the MH and Shed. I wouldn't stand but that is because I have a dodgy right knee and it plays up if I stand in the same place for too long. Sign of me getting old!

Great picture. The player second from the left looks like John Greig but difficult to tell.

 

 

 

 

Top picture is the late Eric Caldow. A very, very talented left back.

One of the first modern full backs. He could really defend and very often started attacks with overlaps.

Think he scored for Scotland v England at Hamden in 1962,

In the 1963 game v England,he unfortunately was injured in a collision and received a broken leg.

Willie Johnston middle picture.

Billy Stevenson moved to Liverpool and from memory, played in the 1965 FA Cup Final.

Yes, Caldow did score in the 62 game. The other scorer for Scotland that day in the 2-0 win was another Rangers player, Davie Wilson. A great shirt worn by Bud.

I've had a few responses about the post on Facebook. One person thinks that from left to right it is Derek Johnstone, Colin Jackson, Willie Johnston and Willie Mathieson. Some fine players. One thought that second from left is John Greig.  A legend.

A classic car. From Gray's time at Dundee United or Aston Villa. The RS2000 came out in the early seventies. Popular with rally drivers if I remember correctly.

I see what you mean. There is a resemblance.  Have had a few more responses to my post. One person thinks that the person in from is Cutty Young. Another thinks that the person on the left is Orjan Persson and another thinks that the person second from the right is the legendary Doddie, Alex MacDonald.

Two other people think that the person on the left is Derek Parlane. Does look like his hairstyle at the time.

Peter McCloy was a 6ft 4 in. Rangers keeper throughout the 1970s and into the mid 1980s
