This picture could have been taken last night, due to the snowfall in Glasgow yesterday afternoon and evening!

Yes, taken last night.

In the past there have been a few games which have been cancelled as roads, paths etc have been deemed too unsafe for fans. With current restrictions no chance of that happening with only players and staff entering stadiums.

Boyne. A pic for rough comparison!    How Ibrox looked late in the 1960s / early 1970s.

Scotland - England 1-1 Home International / Euro Qualifier
Hampden Park, Glasgow
Scotland : Tommy Gemmell, Ronnie McKinnon, Billy McNeill, Ronnie Simpson, John Greig, Eddie McCreadie
Charlie Cooke, Billy Bremner, Alan Gilzean, Willie Johnston, Bobby Lennox

Some good players here and a great shirt.. Good to see Charlie and Eddie in the team.

Dai Davies

Sad news today, of the passing of the former Wales keeper Dai Davies.

He kept a clean sheet in Wales' win over England at Wembley in 1977.

Scotland v England on 29th May 1972. 1-0 England.   Look at the packed terracing.
Officially the crowd was 119,325!  Yet you can’t see the passageways on the terracing.
So  add in the region of 10,000 to just that part of Hampden.
On the Wed night, 24th May. Scotland played Wales in front of just 21,332.

Nigel played under his father for nine years at Nottingham Forest before leaving for Anfield

How could I possibly forget Brian and Nigel Clough!

Always wondered if Nigel had gone to Italy whether he would have succeeded there, suspect it was his loyalty to the reputation of his alcoholic father that kept him at Forest to the detriment of his own career.
