Bit unfair on Crouchy, he’s a legend of the game! After all he did help get Southampton relegated with Agent Redknapp... :blush2:

I do like Crouchy. More talented than a lot of people give him credit for.

I think the other one you mentioned though is just a big headed twat!

The late, great, Brazilian Socrates would have been 67 yesterday. Here against the USSR,during the 1982 World Cup Group Match. He scored as Brazil won 2-1.

The floodlights were along the roof, due to the proximity of Renfrew Airport. This was a mere three miles west of the Stadium.

Brazil v Bulgaria, Group 3 match. Goodison Park,12th July 1966.
Garrincha scores Brazil's second goal from a free kick . Brazil won 2-0. Great picture.

Dunfermline away in Scottish Cup of 1988.  John ‘Bomber’ Brown has just been sent off.

John Brown was a great player. One of those players who gets stuck in and gives his all. The type of player every club needs and is appreciated by the fans.

His performance for Rangers against Leeds in the Champions League in season 92-93 was brilliant and one of the best I've seen.

He could and did play left back, centre back, left midfield and as a striker.  Very under rated player and probably unknown outside Scotland.

One of the best volleys I've ever seen. Incredible goal.
