I wish the headline was more "Arsenal rapist denied entry into Canada" - just for the PR spin. I mean the headline would be something like that IF he was a Chelsea player.

Nobody in their right mind would support Trump, ICE, immigration insanity etc. BUT it is hard to feel sorry for Rapey Partey.

I don't want to make it political, but I do support the Republican party immigration policy. Come in legally - simple. If you are alluding to the approach, then certainly room for debate there. But, hard to believe much of what the media portrays.

Politics aside, and looking at the numbers, the Biden administration has significantly lower deportations during a period we are told was record inflow. Just take a look at the Obama years, even compared to Bush's 2nd term and Trump's first term.

Anyway, enough about that and back to the football. Fun start to the tournament. Looking forward to Brazil later.

As I said, Nobody in their right mind would support Trump and ICE. You say it is fine if they come in "legally" - lol. Do you know the history of America? Have you ever been to a Rez? A Rez is where the indigenous people are forced to live - they find it hilarious that you are talking about illegal and legal immigration - it is a fairly absurd debate to them.

anyways, back to the football.

White men didn’t go legally to America.

Also, many of the Mexicans and Latinos crossing the border have more rights to go to Southern US than the wasp there, since it was land stolen by the Anglo-Saxons.

Trump has pardoned loads of convicted criminals

I've got no sympathy with Partey whatsoever , and it was Canada that prevented him from entering. As for Trump........

Yes, Trump presents himself as an enforcer of law and order but he continually pardons convicted criminals, there are many other than the two below.

BALTIMORE (WBFF) — A Baltimore drug kingpin who built a multimillion-dollar narcotics empire and lived a lavish, celebrity-style lifestyle before his arrest was pardoned by President Donald Trump in May, according to federal records obtained by The Baltimore Sun

Garnett Gilbert Smith, also known as Abdule Jones and Brian Slack, was 44 when he was convicted in 2014 in federal court of conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute cocaine. Smith was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Jan. 6 rioter pardoned by Trump gets life sentence for child sex crimes

Andrew Paul Johnson promised one of his victims money he expected to receive from the Justice Department, authorities said.

In the right place, I'd love to hear you substantiate why no one would support Trump and Ice, but this thread is not the place for that.

I have many thoughts in response to both @RMH and you, but happy for you both to have the last word here. As we all said, back to football.

I said "no one in their right mind" would support Trump.

Trump’s grandfather twice entered the US illegally. He was forced to relocate to Canada which is where he made all his money – he made his money running brothels in the Yukon. Making money from “miners” was how the Trump family fortune began. ‘Gold diggers’ and the Trump family go way back.

I know pundit's would probably describe the American game and the Canadian game as " lacking quality '

But " quality" these days translates into being able to slow the game, maintain possession, play endless passes to each other and avoid risk.

Give me the games of continuously going forward without all the possession based, slow sh*te that supposed 'quality " teams are able to play .

You’re right, it’s not the correct place to have this discussion, but the land belongs to the native Americans and us, white Europeans or your ancestors (if you’re a white man, mine stayed in our country), stole their lands and their rights. There’s no denying that, that is a fact. Now the white men are stopping people from moving around because, you know, they’re doing what we did 500 years ago, only that they are not conquering the people already living there and imposing they’re way of life, only looking for a better life.

but...many people in America have supported Trump...twice. I think its such that he gets much criticism however he is actually supported through thick and thin by Americans. People i know as far away as Australia are getting bent out of shape about the old lad however he is supported big style.

You really need to sort out your ad blocker mate. lol.

Yeah American stadium sports like American Football and baseball are always accompanied by food - they are longer games with lots of ads and so food is part of the experience. Tailgating at the NFL games is much more interseting than the actual game in all honesty.

I think the yanks are also trying to squeeze in some ads during the "water breaks" AND i think for the Final there will be a longer break at Half-time (25-30 minutes) with a show similar to what they have with the Superb Owl. . .Super Bowl. Performers singing, etc.

Yes, people also supported Hitler, no denying that, still, it’s wrong.

I think your view/opinion on Trump is in the minority in America they support him through thick and thin comparing him to Hitler is not what Americans are doing. Its actually not something non Americans can do much ( if anything ) about. Why do people get bent out of shape about the comb over King, hes bonkers and i find him funny, when hes trying to be serious.

I think they might get " bent out of shape" because he does things that adversely effect other countries. I actually thought he was ridiculously funny in his first term and he didn't start any wars like most Presidents have done.

But come on, he's out of control now.

I'm surprised you think he only won 2 elections in your earlier comment though !! 😂

but we cant do anything about it. We dont get to vote in America, to say hes out of control is an understatement he totally barking mad - with due respect to others that are barking mad. The Hitler comparison is used too much in modern society imo. I think theres every chance he could be at risk to further assassination attempts - the whole dynamic is a bit weird. Trump haters are good peaceful people who would not be concerned if he got shot they might even like it. its all odd.

No there are plenty of Americans comparing that vile pedophile to Hitler. Especially in the more educated cities. Just like in the UK where that reform/brexit party are very popular amongst the educationally sub-normal in tedious all white towns where they complain about the "immigrants". It is very much a global issue. Similar 'leaders' have popped up all over the place.

You do know that Vance once actually described him as the " American Hitler" ! ?

Anyway he managed to grow a new ear the last time he "took a bullet for democracy" !

but a large enough proportion vote for him. Its odd.

Trump has been elected twice. Hes very unpopular and disliked by most everyone who voices an opinion. Yet he must be receiving support to put him in the White House.

I get all the Hitler Paedo hate irrelevance of voting etc etc but

There must be a considerable number of Americans who listen and join in with the anti trump conversation...then go straight out and vote for him.

All the while non Americans are slating him left right and centre.

What does this say about Americans?
