Oh you poor lady. I hope you recover. There is treatment available for this I believe.

Yes you have my sympathy. On the bright side, that bitter, twisted bunch of bar stewards should have even more to winge and whine about by Saturday night.

moving from off field events to those on the field - did anyone see that penalty last night ? icon_eek.gificon_lol.gif

Ref was far from penalty area and there were substacles(players) on the way of his sight.

Also , Sevilla`s player was doing everything right. He didn`t jump or dive before contact with the keeper.

He had kicked the ball and had made an acceleration, so he just ran at keeper`s hands on maximal speed and of course he felt down.....

I think it was a very fast episode and it was difficult for the ref to make a quick and right decision. Though the penalty was not obvious, no doubts.......

I don't buy that at all Sergey - look at the angle that the ball comes away at, it would be imposible for the ball to come away at that angle if RObinson hadn't made contact with it and the angle the striker was running out makes it practically impossible for Robinson to have made contact with the striker before the ball.

It was a piece of school boy football referring.

I don't buy that at all Sergey -

It seems it`s a misunderstanding... icon_razz.gif

I mean Sevilla`s player doing everything right to get the penalty.. I just said he was clever enough not to dive before the contact, because then it could be yellow for dive and no penalty situation.

And also I can say I afraid this name - Alan Hammer for so many years, that I even can`t remember why I do it.....

I agree that the Sevilal player did nothing wrong.

What I meant by I don't buy that was with regard to you saying that it was 'difficult for the ref to make a quick and right decision'.

I think it was pretty easy for the ref to make a quick and right decision. if he had a decent view of the incident then there is no way he would have given a penalty and if he didn't have a decent view then he shouldn't have given it because he would only have been given it based on a hunch.

But I think you agree it was impossible for the ref to reach a good position to make a right decision, due to the speed of attack, it was like a lightning strike....

I agree with you here....

But anyway he had to make some quick decision..... And the way "I`m not 100% sure, so it`s not a penalty" was difficult for him.... Maybe it was just a reflex, because moment was easy, but very fast.....
