April 20, 20179 yr the pfa team of the year is out not sure about cahill over azpi, and kane over alexis aside from that they got it right, i think
April 20, 20179 yr I would have Azpi above Cahill and Luiz. I would have Sanchez above Mane. Mane is great but just hasn't been playing enough and was pretty absent for the last few games before his season ending injury. Also there are a lot of keepers I would put ahead of De Gea. Tom Heaton would have got my vote.

Apart from not turning up in the big games, he still has had another stellar season and has an excellent goals and assists record. 18 league goals and 9 assists I think. I would be aggrieved if I was him and Arsenal fans too but they expect him to go so prob don't care. Also think Alonso is hugely unlucky not to get in as Rose has been brilliant but been injured for a large part too.
April 20, 20179 yr De Gea is the token United player. No way has he been the best goalkeeper this season. Both Courtois and Lloris have had a better season than him. Sanchez should be in there ahead of Mane too. Mane has been good but Sanchez has been better. Other than that, i can live with that team. Azpilicueta is once again the most underrated player in the Premier League though, he's had a better season than Cahill and better than Luiz of late.

I think if Alonso had been signed earlier and played from the beginning of the season, he would have got in ahead of Rose. As it stands, him and Rose have played pretty much just as many games. It's hard to judge who has had the better impact for their team because they have both been very good.

Rose has started 18 PL games. Alonso has started 26 and made 1 substitute appearance. That is quite a few more games and Alonso has made a massive impact since coming into the team. I agree with you then, no way should he be in team of the year.

Edited it a bit too late. 5 goals is bloody exceptional as well. You won't get any wingbacks or full backs getting that amount apart from Coleman and Baines when he was on set piece duties.
