That Chelsea fc worker at SB

Featured Replies

Who is quite large boned with greyish hair that is allways seen standing around the tunnel area .seems to have been standing in that tunnel area under  untold numbers  of different  managers now .i need to ask what is his position/ job at CFC ?is he part of the security ?

thanks in advance

Started as a steward, was on the trains in the early 80s. Think at home he worked in the tunnel, when Claudio came in as manager his English was zero and Gary has Italian family and translated. He then got a job of player liaison officer, which involves helping with houses, schools and anything that helps a new player settle.

It's funny as when I used to see him on the trains he looked such a miserable 'bugger,' good to see he progressed at the club.

This is I think the chap and I remember him back in the early 90's when sometimes I used to get the cub train to matches.

Oh him! He always seems on the edge of a heart attack, looking red and puffed up.

Aaron Lincoln was another burly background figure.

He started off as Kitman then became John Terrys agent. I think he had a touchline barney with Gordon Strachan once.

Someone else who seemed to popular with the players was one of the physios “ billy the rub”

Quick search and there is a lot on Aaron Lincoln though not photos, you are right about Strachan and he parted company with Terry at first amicable and then legal dispute over money also FA sent an instruction to clubs not to deal with him (& others) on transfers.

Aaron has his own company and looks after sportsman and women. F A didn’t like the fact he wasn’t registered so didn’t have to abide by their rules. Bill “blood” is still a masseur at the club.

Interesting photo, Alf does not look happy.

If I was to suggest a caption...……..

"What do you mean, you left the effing balls at home!"

Poor old Bobby ( RIP ) only had one, as he had Testicular cancer in his 20's, & had to have one removed. Think Neil Harris ( Millwall Manager ) also had it, & beat it ( good for him).
