Posted April 28, 200718 yr Just when destiny was in our hands, cruel fact of life confronts us That we were leading and Manure losing, How can one not despair at an entirely different ending? That the Devil played a cruel joke on us, By doing a Scouser act like in Istanbul, But it could not have been lost, If Mourinho did not blow it. Why Lampard for Carvalho And Essien at centre back, When the obvious choice was a Dutchman called Bouhlahrouz? We knew the despicable Trotters act from scraps, Did not we learn the lesson from the Trotter in the past season From their expression at deadball situation in a previous 2-2 draw? Alas, Mourinho you are stubborn, And lost us our crown Imperfection it will be, even if we lay our hands on two more trophies. Pity... Pity....

April 28, 200718 yr Well I'm sure you put a lot of effort into these poems of yours. And I'm not saying they're rubbish or anything, ok? Just that they're completely bloody wasted on me.
April 28, 200718 yr I don't think drawing today made as much difference as some are making out. United's comeback was more damaging than our dropping of 2 points. Even if we won today we would still be a win and 1 more result behind United. As it stands there is very little difference. Even if we win our last 3 we would have to hope United lose against City or West Ham. If e had won they would still have to draw one of those 2 games. However the worst news of the day is that our best defender on form is now out for the rest of the season. I'm now worried about our entire season starting on Tuesday. Do you still have the same confidence going to Anfield with either Essien at Center Back or Bhoula who has barely played recently?
April 28, 200718 yr A terrible thought has crossed my mind and with the news Rikky is out it becomes more than a possibility.. Losing our title, the FA cup and the CL, as well as our unbeaten home league record and all tro the same team. it hurts to think about it but they are playing some good football and they are looking confident, its becoming a distinct possibility. as you might tell I am very down after todays tormenting results, the half time points tally then the full time really kicked me in the nuts.

It would have been exactly the same if we had won Because of Utds goal difference and the fact that they won today. We still need them to lose a game and us to win all of our remaining games. Anyhow bollo**s to all this negativaty, i think the boy's have been unbelievable this season to still be challenging on the 3 other fronts with the injuries we have had to deal with this year. There may still be another twist in this tale......
April 28, 200718 yr It's not so much negativity as another massive disappointment. Think back a couple of hours, when we were winning and they were losing? How things would have been if things had stayed that way? It's only natural to feel deflated after all that. Oh and I really don't like this poetry/prose stuff. Sorry.
April 28, 200718 yr Course it was dissapointing especially how things stood at HT, but still I'm sure Mourinho will be saying the same things to the players. Things aint all over yet... West Ham could also do us a huge favour they may still need a point to stay up. Keep the faith.

April 28, 200718 yr I don't think drawing today made as much difference as some are making out. ? I disagree, if we had won today then we needed to beat Utd and look for another team to hold Utd to a draw, now we are looking for another team to beat them as well as us. That is a very big difference.
April 28, 200718 yr Author octville is busted... i killed him. Now a new phoenix has risen from the ashes.
April 28, 200718 yr Ferreira was made a mickey so many times on the right tonight and i wonder why Jose insists on having him. Zenden had a field day and it was unlucky that Liverpool could not capitalise. Well with a view like that, I suggest you get your eyes tested. Or watch the same games as the rest of us.

That is a very big difference. Or for them to draw against City, West Ham and us to do them.... Which isn't as daft as it may seem.. west Ham are fighting for their Premiershiop lives and city are not going to just give the title to Utd.
April 28, 200718 yr jose wasn't to blame, terrible defending against the obvious bolton set pieces were..even then we had 30mins plus to find a winner, but we lacked the final ball./..it was as if utd's comeback sucked the belief out of the players and they never looked like doing it...key moment was carvalho's injury for sure as it made our defence even weaker for the second set piece goal...still we shouldn't turn on anyone, we will be back stronger and better next season...we can't win it every year, it just shows how impressive out last two championships were.
April 29, 200718 yr Author spot on Brit. People forgot that this is the Best League in the World ( nevermind the bragging from the South Americans). Notice how a top class striker like Sheva struggled throughout the season because of the pace in UK? Or how Ballack is looking no better than who he really is? On a better note, Obi Mikel is getting better with his distribution, Kalou offers a 2nd option in attack after a disastrous 1st half of the season, Diarra looks evergreen like a possessed young Makelele and maybe Ben Sahar can improve in the coming season. Personally, while it may seem unfair after only one season, i feel we need to let Ballack and Sheva go. If Ferreira and Geremi goes as well, we will free up space for some good options. Pepe is still favoured as a cover to JT and Carvalho and we can have Alex back. The problem is that we need another person who can fill the gap like what Crespo and Guddy did. I remembered in games when we need a break in extra dimension, Crespo provided the winner against Wigan and Guddy was every bit a player who can turn games in an instant. David Villa will more than compensate but i am afraid of the Premiership conditioning issue again. I would say, go for Dimitar Berbatov ( maybe plus a player swap). I like Jermaine Defoe too ( whom i thought was worth the money even during Raineri's time and his solo goal against us when he was playing for West Ham). Otherwise, we have more than a squad that is capable of bringing back the Premiership next season
April 29, 200718 yr As poems go, that was up there with Just's critiquing of JFH's time at Chelsea. Wordy. Flawed. And ever so slightly myopic...
