We all have very happy memories of his vital goal against Liverpool that got us into the CL and, arguably, helped persuade RA to invest his billions in the club. We don't have happy memories of his crossing ability (although I do remember one of his crosses flying in spectacularly).

I found this reference to him today that made me laugh:

Veh benched veterans like Silvio "Meise" Meissner and Markus "Babbler" Babbel and Heldt got rid of expensive flops like Danijel Ljuboja, Jon Dahl Tomasson and Jesper Gr?nkj?r, the worst crosser of the ball in the history of the Bundesliga, to make space for the new team and their trust has been rewarded. Stuttgart humiliated Bayern last week to secure the third Champions League spot and can now even aim a little higher after the slip-ups by Schalke and Bremen.

He really was useless at crossing.

He was useless at crossing, but his speed with or without the ball terrorised defenders. He was at his best running at a full-back, then cutting inside. I also loved the way he'd tackle back and help out his own defenders. Despite his sh*te crossing ability, I was really sorry to see him go.

Wasn't there a note in the programme asking fans to stop wearing replica shirts as it was confusing him

dead cert for the memorables loz?

used to make me laugh. hed skin 3 or players in a fantastic run down the right wing then shank it to some unknown bloke ibehind the goals. i used to think his dad was sat there.

Could get past a player like no other, always fancied him one on one against anyone. Probably because after a while, they knew no harm would come from letting him go past.
