We all have very happy memories of his vital goal against Liverpool that got us into the CL and, arguably, helped persuade RA to invest his billions in the club. We don't have happy memories of his crossing ability (although I do remember one of his crosses flying in spectacularly).

He really was useless at crossing.

He was useless at crossing, but his speed with or without the ball terrorised defenders. He was at his best running at a full-back, then cutting inside. I also loved the way he'd tackle back and help out his own defenders. Despite his sh*te crossing ability, I was really sorry to see him go.

I think he is the only player I have seen to have cleared the shed end with one of his cross /shots ?

used to make me laugh. hed skin 3 or players in a fantastic run down the right wing then shank it to some unknown bloke ibehind the goals. i used to think his dad was sat there.

Could get past a player like no other, always fancied him one on one against anyone. Probably because after a while, they knew no harm would come from letting him go past.
