It will be interesting to see what happens with Kingsmeadow. Am I correct in thinking that the ground can't be enlarged? I've read that the women like playing at Kingsmeadow as they find it great that they are close to the fans; the fans also enjoy being close up to the action.

I'm convinced that this is a genuine feeling among the CFCW squad but, since they have to play there whether they like it or not, this would be the right thing to say even if the girls did not mean it. I am also convinced however that the team enjoy playing at Stamford Bridge more than many of the Kingsmeadow faithful enjoy watching matches there.

Excellent. You're right about tickets for SB games. Just had a look on the club website and print at home tickets will be sent out on 14 September.

I don't think they will be 'sent out'. They will become available for download or print, using the link in the email that would have been sent shortly after your bought the SB package, 18 days prior to each game. Based on that usual schedule, I was expecting the Spurs ticket to be available on the 13th of September but the 14th will work too. 🙂

I think most of us who read this thread are already committed CFCW followers. In which case we've all perhaps seen the video below but, for any that may not have done, I've posted it to recommend my favourite new recruit ahead of the coming season. I don't know what you all thought but I felt that Sjoke's forty-five minutes vs Roma lived up to the promise of these highlights.

You're right about the women enjoying playing at Stamford Bridge and I remember reading comments by some of the players about the joy of playing there. With the rise in popularity of women's football the demand for tickets will increase and I suspect that more and more games will be played at the Bridge. What will be the cost of season tickets? And will the full capacity of the ground be used. The amount of fans allowed into the ground may be dependent upon advice from the police and council.

The situation re availability of Stamford Bridge for hosting an increased number of CFCW games may be a tricky. The last time I checked, the club were licensed to stage a maximum of thirty events where the attendance would exceed five thousand. This was several seasons ago mind you, and it's clear that the council has agreed to increase the number. Given that the men must have provision for a maximum of 29 home fixtures, and the women are committed to a minimum of four, the maximum number of full capacity matches licensed at The Bridge must now be above thirty. Will the council ever agree to licensing enough games for the women to play all of their fixtures at The Bridge? I suppose if there is enough money in it for them they might.

I was hoping that we might face Arsenal in a Champions League knockout tie at The Bridge, and that the game would attract a full house. Shame that can't happen now but, fingers crossed, the match going following keeps increasing for the women.

Meanwhile, I haven't read anything about how tickets are selling for the Spurs game. Does anyone know?

Error: It's a maximum of 28 home fixtures for CFCM this season, not 29

Thanks for the information about licensed events. I didn't know that. It will be interesting to see how the council reacts to more games being played at the Bridge. They may decide to consult residents. I wonder if the redevelopment of the ground - if that ever happens - will be a factor. If the club proposes to play more games at the Bridge could that mean more objections from residents to the redevelopment? I suspect that there will be many discussions to come between the club, the council, residents and the police. Would TFL also have to be consulted due to increased use of Fulham Broadway Station?

I haven't seen anything on how ticket sales for the Spurs game are progressing. Hopefully there will be good turnout. I did read that season tickets for Kingsmeadow have sold out.

Have just received an email from the club with the link to download the e-tickets. I'm in West Lower Block 3. Have you received yours? @Munkunku Have you received yours?

I've a feeling that the residents will always object to everything. Matchdays are a nightmare across the whole area. Those objections will have been taken into account however before Roman's 'Cathedral' redevelopment plan was accepted, so, we'd have to guess that a new, but similar, plan would also get permission over any local objections.

I hadn't seen that about the Kingsmeadow ST's sell out, but I've just checked and TOCWS confirms it. That's great news, though it will only cause the club to feel that their decision to impose such brutal price rises has been vindicated.

Yes, I got the email the same day I bought the Stamford Bridge package in July. I was able to download the Spurs ticket on Wednesday afternoon.

Now that the club has accepted that we are living in the 21st century, and are to introduce mobile tickets via the 5th Stand app, we hopefully won't have to go through the process of manually printing/downloading the tickets anymore. Having them automatically placed in the app when we've bought them is way more straightforward. The sooner they extend the plan to Kingsmeadow, the better.

Next step two 'mobile' season tickets; one for KM and one for SB, instead of individual tickets for the SB games. Better yet, one mobile ST to cover all games. They just need to design the ticket so that it shows the details of both seats.

I remember when the plans for Roman's Cathedral were drawn up that someone who lived - and may still live there - at the bottom of Seagrave Road objected to the 'new' stadium as it blocked natural light. I think the objector had friends in high places.

Two of my cousins are ST holders at Rangers and have a ST card which covers league matches at Ibrox. If they buy tickets for Cup and European matches they buy them and those are added to their ST cards. As you say, saves a lot of printing off etc.

I belong to a number of historical societies and have cards for each of them and am also sent e-tickets for events etc. So much easier.

Some clubs have the same system for members as well as season ticket holders. When a member buys a ticket, the membership cards just get validated for the game, and they use it to tap in. I was hoping that we would do the same, but when CFC did away with membership cards this season I thought it was another lost opportunity to catch up with the technology. Now that I see where they're going with mobile tickets that feels an even better solution.

The other night I was chatting to a guy in my local pub and he told me about when he and some friends went to a Mickey Flanagan gig. On entering the venue the punters had to hand in their phones to stop them taking pictures and videos. Probably a good idea but when of the friends of the guy I was chatting to went to pay for a drink the venue didn't take cash and he didn't have a credit card  - the card was on his phone - so had to get someone else to pay. If down the line cash and possibly cards are removed how will people pay if phones have to be handed in? I've been in Government Departments e.g. 10 Downing Street, the Foreign Office and the Ministry of Defence where phones have had to be handed in but those were different circumstances i.e. security.

I don’t think card will cease to exist but I quite often go out without my wallet so I can see why it’s an issues.

I’m all for banning phones at gigs though. The amount of times I’ve had to essentially watch things I’ve paid for through a selfish c**t’s phone is ridiculous.

Agree about cards. Can't see them being scrapped. Phone batteries can run flat.

Don't mind the occasional photo at gigs or sporting events but it annoys me when people are constantly taking photos or making videos. Feel like grabbing the phone and lobbing it.

I was sat next to a guy at the back of The Shed years ago who watched the whole first half through his iPad. Didn’t come back for the second half, probably got kicked out.

Unbelievable. Spend all that money on a ticket for the game and then watch it on an ipad. Given the crap wi-fi signal in the ground I'm surprised that he could watch it.

The club does say, in their announcement about the introduction of 'mobile tickets', that if the trial is successful their hope is eventually to move to 100% mobile tickets.
