Welcome Omari Hutchinson

Featured Replies

Omari Hutchinson is a good player and I hope he does well at Nottingham Forrest.

And yet sometimes in this forum, we get that . . .Ah, the classic opinion based on a player they didn’t really see, observe or witness first hand.  They’re basing their opinion upon statistics generated by another agency. Agency which is not themselves.

Sometimes when you observe or witness a player first-hand – such as Omari Hutchinson – you can easily recognise that he is a decent talented player.  It is a bit ridiculous to have such a strong opinion against a player, when you haven’t seen him actually play that much.

Football is a game much more than stats and statistical information.

Whenever I watched Ipswich, he looked their stand-out player. Maybe bias due to him being CFC but I hope he does well at Forest and think he probably will.

I watched multiple Ipswich games last season. I usually watch 4 or 5 games a weekend and often that was Ipswich last seasons m. Instead of using stats I could simply have said the eye test showed he was all fart and no poo, would that have made you happier? Or is it just your own opinion you hold in such high regard? Other than Chelsea bias, you’ve offered nothing logical to say why he was some fantastic player. Nowhere did I say he was bad, I just said he wasn’t their standout player. I’m sorry that upsets you because you saw him live once, but it’s still true. Delap was better. Enciso was better when he joined on loan. George Hirst was better in the limited minutes he got. Most of the back line were more important to the team, especially Leif Davis and O’Shea. Jack Clarke was a very solid signing, probably on par with Hutchinson and they’d have been lost without Morsy.

But yeah, enjoy the step overs. Glad that’s tilted your opinion 👍

I guess you don't rate him then.

This is just a message board, but seriously with such insightful observations have you considered being a scout with a major football club?

Again, this is just a message board for fans of Chelsea FC and people are allowed to have differing opinions on a player (current or former). I rate Omari as a player and he has signed for Forrest for £37,500,000 (of which Chelsea get about £9 million quid). That is a chunk of change and more money than Ipswich got for any of the other players they sold.

A welcome return for the coprophilia metaphor. It's been a while.

Saying someone isn’t a standout player isn’t me saying he’s sh*t, what insane logic are you working with here?! Please just read.

God forbid someone points out that he wasn’t the stand out player for Ipswich in the Prem. “yes but those are made up numbers with no basis! I watched him do a step over once, he was their best player!”

Well, market madness dictates he's worth nearly 40 million quid... that's 10 million more than United spent bringing in "World Class" Veron 25 years ago. We spent 36 million on Zilch Ziyetch, another nothing purchase from the Dutch leagues...

I mean, Joe Cole cost us 6.6 Million...

Also, who really cares about Hutchinson? We could drag our nuts along some barbed wire and agree to disagree about the merits of Geal Kakuta or Callum Hudson-Odoi... wouldn't get us anywhere.

Here's an Interesting read from the fans perspective in the Midlands about what we could have had on the left-hand side if he wasn't sold for 3.5 million quid. Again, another absolute knuckle-dragging decision from a grossly incompetent board. In fact, f**k 'em. They're absolute toss running this club. Absolutely dog sh*te big dick swinging finance tossers who have shown since taking over they have zero clue what they are doing in the transfer market. A 20 million loss on Felix inside of 12 months. Someone needs to kick the board in the goolies every home game.

I only mentioned that I rate Omari as a player and that he had signed for Forrest for £37,500,000 (of which Chelsea get about £9 million quid). My main concern was that Chelsea got a % of the deal. I thought that was interesting and worth a mention. This is just a Chelsea message board - some folks have too much time on their hands.

Hutchinson did a few step overs but there was nothing else to his game in the Prem. Struggled massively.

Hutchinson did not struggle massively. He was creative. Played well. Played as a good team member. Secured a lucrative deal from another club who recognised that in him.

You should read your own posts mate. You said that he "struggled massively".

Everyone except Delap, Davis and O’Shea struggled in that team. Hutchinson was signed as a creative sparked and created zilch.

I know... ;-)

I dont think he's a bad player at all and was part of the england under 21 success recently.

I cant get my head around the prices, hence the comparison to joe cole and Veron. Madness really isnt it.

Perhaps we can put this thread out of its misery by moving it to the Non-Chelsea football section ?

Omari has had two permanent clubs and another on loan since he made his two fleeting appearances for Chelsea in 22/23.

Indeed. The Chelsea relevance was that we recently received the 9 million quid for him - the extra %
