Just perusing through some football sites and saw club have signed this young whippersnapper, aged 18 nicked from the Gooners. anybody know anything about him positive? is he a potential first team candidate or a loan army recruit - can’t think why we’d want more loanees anyway.

4 goals and 3 assists in his last 6, 4 goals and 5 assists in 12 games this season. Surely with a talent like that you create the space for him in the 1st team, especially considering he is a RW where we are light.
You can bet Bayern are already monitoring him and looking for an opening.

He's got 3 years left on his contract and only just joined. He will get his opportunity here if he's good enough.

Only problem with this is come the end of next season, if a Bayern come in with £10m offer we will be forced to negotiate if he doesn’t intend to extend his contract. Whatever happens this season is critical to retaining him. As for getting his “opportunity”, Musiala went straight for our youth team to the Bayern 1st team & is now a key player at 19.

Hutchinson left Arsenal because Saka, Martinelli & Rowe were ahead of him in their development even though he was named on the bench 10x for the 1st team. With James, & Kante out indefinitely, Ziyech as good as on the outs, and Havertz looking lethargic, Potter will never get a better opportunity to blood in Chwukuemeka, Hutchinson & whatever talented RB we have in Cobham.

There has to be room now for him in the squad.

Let's look at who are attacking options are:

Mount - Key player, but would we be better served having him as our kost advanced attacking midfielder?

Broja - Talented, good worker.

Auba - goalscorer, cannot play 3 full games in a week.

Sterling - out of form but playing in a forward role may help him...

Pulisic - earned a start vs United imo.

Ziyech - clearly not part of the plan

Havertz - needs to be dropped.

Carney - promising.

If Mount moves in to his natural position as attacking midfielder that leaves us with Auba, Broja, Sterling, Pulisic and Carney for 3 positions. Room at least on the bench for Hutchinson.

Would you look at that. A natural right sided forward playing in his natural position being able to create something with his own talent, rather than pushing someone out of position just to fit them in to the side.

Would it not be nice to see such a talent in his natural position in the team?

If we sell Ziyech in January Hutchinson should be his replacement in the squad

also I don’t know what Potter plans to do during the World Cup but hopefully he will have a good look at Hutchinson

I feel the most entertaining answer to this question would come from @Mod. Ok Mod...

He seems as individualistic & ball hog as they come judging from a few highlights I've seen, which at the moment may as well be useful to our squad as long as he doesn't get into the same tunnels as Pulisic.

All in all I guess it wouldn't be the worst of things giving the lad a chance compared to our lacklustre/want-away options.

He makes things happen and clearly is playing above the level he is currently fielded with. Very promising.

It’s a massive step, and one we struggle with for young attackers. Odoi had all the promise as well but also struggled with final product (I have not given up on him yet).

I’m a firm believe in if you are good enough you are old enough, and want to see him tested with the first team. We have nothing to lose.
