I agree with this. Sometimes a change is as good as a rest, just to change the narrative. If we a looking for a solid keeper that is no worse than Sanchez and has a good level of command from set pieces, there are plenty of options that take the attention away from the keeper and still allows Penders to develop ( if he proves to be good enough). Leno for example is a competent solid keeper, that is 34. Oblak similarly. If we accept the reality that there will still be faults with any replacement and it is purely about removing the heat from the position, then I think there are plenty of options.

That said, the performance by Sanchez was a bit out of character against Fulham tbh. This looked similar to his performances against Arsenal where his basic shot stopping and positioning even looked suspect. I agree on his decision making and on ball ability issues which will always undermine him, but against Fulham he just looked nervous and basically sh*t himself

yeah feel that too. Shouldn't be too hasty with another panic buy, don't want to end up with another kepa. Next season should be the right time to address it with proper planning from now on if they haven't already started it. This season I can understand if they want to focus on clearance in other parts first.

I made a joke during the Fulham game that we will never see Sanchez leave until Ben Roberts dies of old age, now I actually believe it. How long will Chelsea accept his cronyism?
