BolaBall got a reaction from erskblue in World Cup 2026The bizarre thing is why sold him in such a hasty manner? I reckon Chelsea could have an additional 7-10 millions after word cup.. It's not like there were lack of suitors, he's already a euro winner.

BolaBall got a reaction from The Rising Sun in Enzo Maresca - Chelsea "Head Coach" *Official NOW SACKED*What is the issue for him agreeing a longer contract in the first place? Can't recall any manager who doesn't want it, longer contract means better security and the mindset for all managers is longer contract means more pay out if things don't work out. It's a pretty basic strategy for insurance.
His complain about Chelsea is just an excuse used as justification for him leaving while in fact without the offer, he would have stayed. You don't actually believe if things were rosy at Chelsea then he would have rejected city, do you?
I think an employee getting big headed when he got another offer on the table is pretty common thing. We can agree he doesn't deserve to demand anything based on his limited quality but he got a legit bargaining chip because if his demand is not met then he would just be somewhere else. Btw, I think that demand is smokescreen because he wanted to leave anyway.
How do you reckon other managers in his position would or should do if they want to leave? You know that maresca could have played a stinker until the end of the season forcing the blueco to sack him right? It's not like he has to join city immediately, he got the time. That's why he reported the city approach and resigned is better than he keeping it quiet and play a stinker to get the sack.

BolaBall got a reaction from dkw in Enzo Maresca - Chelsea "Head Coach" *Official NOW SACKED*If he's doing very well with chelsea and done that then it's understandable the anger but most of us wanted him gone even before that. Had it not him having a lil bit of backbone (money wise) to resign then you people would blame him for stinking the place. His tactic got found out, he's not wanted by the fans then what's he supposed to do? You do realize he actually didn't stink the place until he got sacked like many others would do in his position, right?
And it's a surprise that you're actually buying the club statement in blaming his departure for ruining the season considering you never really rated him in the first place. If he's not that good then the sooner he goes the better don't you think? The club in ruin is mainly due the board incompetence for not replacing him correctly and sooner.
The outrage towards him seems like a case when a girlfriend wanted a break up but get upset when the boyfriend beat her to it.

BolaBall got a reaction from Sexyfootball in Enzo Maresca - Chelsea "Head Coach" *Official NOW SACKED*Very strange and the irony to say no club wants to change its head coach midway like they have never done it toward other clubs before.
It's also strange with the outrage here toward maresca considering he's not rated and many would like him gone anyway. Instead of the standard sack-payout, this time Chelsea actually got compensation. They should be happy but instead they're getting all personal over this case. I think some people just have the tendency looking something to blame to vent their anger when things went wrong but maresca is the wrong target in this case due to the fact he's not really wanted here anyway.

BolaBall got a reaction from dkw in Reece JamesIt's getting weary now with his another injury news.. he's just like ledley king. Reece James is super highly rated but that also helped by the fact that he's not playing the game regularly to be rated objectively. People tend to only remember his good games and shrugged off his poor games easily.
Should have sold him for big money when madrid wanted him last time but it's too late now. Instead of selling him for cheap, it's better to keep him to play back up role as RB or CDM. He's taken a significant pay cut so we just need to adjust our expectation of him not being seen as the core player.

BolaBall got a reaction from C3blue in Rafael Leão the Wizardnever rated him even when he got viral with his bicycle kick goal... need to sell asap

BolaBall got a reaction from dkw in Marc CucurellaThis sale is ridiculous for the fee quoted. Why chelsea sold him at 15 million lost when there are multiple rich clubs interested in him?
His desire to leave or his remaining contract length is irrelevant. Other clubs, smaller than Chelsea, managed to get the most under that condition.
At 27 years old, he's on his peak and also highly rated by many contrary to the views in this forum. Personally, I do not mind this sale if chelsea gain profit from it. This made Chelsea look weak even if the owners are desperate to sell him due to him questioning their strategy. Should at least play it cool, not hastily accepting such lowball offer.

BolaBall got a reaction from PhilH930 in Random RumoursThese days average players cost a bomb, the quality is surely regressing but the price keeps inflating. It's difficult to get excited in the transfer windows there days because of the bad stocks and inflated price.

BolaBall got a reaction from WeatherMan in Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals 2025/26This comment is really over the top, do you really feel that way? Prioritize Arsenal's failure over Chelsea's success and even your own child?

BolaBall got a reaction from Nibs in Enzo Fernandez - Officially a Blue! Are you sure? He got robbed of possession a lot when he tried to do that, often falling to the ground asking for a foul.. He's lacking speed especially acceleration so I would prefer if he doesn't dribble that much and just do what he's best which is getting into position to finish and for that he needs teammates able to find him. Enzo and Palmer are supposed to fill that role but they're mediocre in that area especially last season.
The likes of KDB/Fabregas or even that whiny bruno fernandes would utilized Joao pedro more efficiently.

BolaBall got a reaction from erskblue in Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals 2025/26So arsenal won the title, spurs avoids relegation and chelsea didn't get european football.. the worst of the possible outcome..
All chelsea need just a point in the final gameday to secure europa but even that failed.
-
BolaBall got a reaction from Sexyfootball in Xabi Alonso - New Chelsea ManagerWhy didn't this appointment take place immediately? When rosenior was sacked, there were still games to play for, never mind the FA cup final, the CL qualification was still possible or at least europa league can be easily guaranteed with a competent manager at the helm.
