Summer friendlies 24

Featured Replies

A mate here in Canada, Glasgow Rangers fan, loves the blue Celtic badge on the promo material for the game on July 27th. What were they thinking? I’d be really pissed if Pool or Utd made our badge red on anything!

Thinking of starting a GoFundMe page to help with the US$2,650 gold hospitality ticket price 😂

After last years friendlies in the US, I’d be sending out the reserves!

Disappointing to see us going back there.

With where the squad is it at now it just shows our priorities aren't in the right place.

It's a great cash cow to have friendlies in the states. My gripe is that these are being hosted at below standard stadiums/pitches (soldier field) where injuries aren't mitigated, and they have matches all across the country where the traveling becomes a headache.

California would be a great place to have friendlies all over the state for example. Great stadiums and people from all over the country would still come and watch.

I hate these friendlies but it’s a global sport where £££ talks and we need to US exposure for revenue growth. I would make sure the key players don’t play on sh*te pitches and key them for fan interactions. Just tell the media they have a thigh strain which is more than believable with our injury record.

Look at this sh*t. The pitch that destroyed Nkunku

The problem with that pitch is that they laid turf on top of the artificial turf just days before. If you want to play on real grass then pick stadiums that come with it. But most of the big NFL arenas Chelsea want to play in are synthetic turf.

Chelsea play a match about an hour away from me in July but I won't be going at this point, things may change but I kind of doubt it.
