I may be giving you too much credit but surely even you're smart enough to understand the difference. It's not hard to understand.

    I don't think we've gambled at all.
We've implemented a strategy that was guaranteed to fail to produce a top club just as it has the last 10,000 times it's been tried across football ( always with less resources)
When you only sign young players most will fail because the success rate of young players developing into top players is extremely low.
As a result you'll have a inconsistent and struggling team and when that happens and you need to rebuild like we do other clubs will circle around the few young players you've got that are developing into top players.
Very difficult to see how we'll be able to hang on to players like Palmer in the future.

Pat Nevin apparently posted some interesting insight in regards to the Sterling boos, indicating that supporters may well be unaware of just how important Sterling is to some of the younger players. When Pat was starting at Chelsea there was one such older player (Tony McAndrew) who wasn't that popular with us fans, but played a vital part in helping younger members of the squad.
Based on some of the post-match comments from players like Noni, I suspect that Sterling is held in high regard by a number of our younger players. While he is unlikely to become a fan favorite, it would be nice to think fans didn't just choose to take out their frustrations by booing him. I don't really think that will help the team in any way.

Booing the team is fine if they are lethargic or haven't done what is expected of them. Booing individual players is just a bit counter productive. That affects the entire team in a bad way. And it is childish.
Not sure how booing helps the team ever.. especially a young side like ours which is under too much pressure anyway.

Not sure the morons who booed Sterling can remember the start of the season let alone who Drogba is.
I remember Drogba getting a lot of stick early on,  I also remember Ronaldo being booed off at Madrid and Argentine supporters jeering Messi and calling for him to retire.
Always weird to see elite talent being booed as soon as they have a rough patch because they don't live up to "expectations"
Good article about Sterling and the expections on him in the Athletic today.  Don't imagine the boo boys can read it but for everyone else it's worth a read.

I'd be very surprised if the children of any of the mouth breathers that booed Sterling get to decent universities.
The kind of people who boo their own player after a poor performance don't tend to be the brightest bulbs in the box.

You need to realise who you are. This isn't you.
Your personal expectations of a player don't mean a thing.
Booing a player because he doesn't meet your own personal expectation is the complete opposite of being a supporter.
You've admittedly never been to Stamford Bridge and Our young players will be glad about that.
Doesn't make it a nice place to play and i'm glad so many members of the squad have supported Sterling against the voices from some of the man children in our fanbase.

I honestly don't think Jackson is much better than before the AFCON.  Very little has changed. There's been a lot of good stuff in his game all season.
He's just appreciated more because all the people that wanted him flogged had to watch Broja play for a month so they've started appreciating Nico for actually knowing how to move and link up with his team mates.

Criticise the guys quality but pretending he isn't involved in games is nonsensical.
Jackson is always heavily involved that's why he's scored 11 goals this season missed 10000 chances and has a number of assists and notable linkup play.
Unlike most the deadwood we've signed he's a young talented player that has ups and downs,  is he good enough to lead our line and start every week? Absolutely not but blame the morons who built our squad for putting him in that position.
We shouldn't have gone into the season with Jackson and the fella who stacks cones at Fulham (Broja is the definition of an uninvolved striker) as our options but Nico has had and will have a damn sight better career than any of the other young attackers at this club barring Palmer that's for sure.

    Absolute nonsense.
People can and do criticise Jackson for a lot but claiming he isn't involved is just silly.

They might be equally as good as Fofana.
But they're all young centre backs and not one of them has ever finished in the top 6 of the premier league so I'm not really sure what your point is.
You're expecting Poch or any manager to consistently win games at the highest level with a bunch of players that have never done it at any point in their lives.
imagine if we'd actually signed a top centre back to go along with our developing ones? Basic squad building but we could only dream of getting such basic decisions right.

Credit to Poch for reaching the Semi final of both domestic cups
and credit to Poch for achieving  the unique feat of bringing on two subs who score, winning the game and still being criticised for his in game management.

They'll just continue to pretend we have a top squad and blame the next manager for not walking into the top 4 with "a billion pound squad"
Seen it with Tuchel, Potter Lampard and now Poch. Varying levels of managerial ability but It's always the manager on here.

    Give me a break.
Enzo - World cup winning XI
Cucurella - Brighton player of the season
Caicedo - Another Brighton high flyer chased by Liverpool and Arsenal.
Sterling - 100+ premier league goals and 80+ International caps.
Fofana - One of the most highly touted premier league centre backs before his arrival, undoubtedly injury prone.
Nkunku - 36 Bundesliga goals in 2 seasons.
Palmer, Madueke, Jackson, Gusto we could go on and on.

Because they were clearly ridiculously good players performing at the absolute top level before being signed for big money.
We've signed players with less than 50 career games in the Ukranian league an average winger in the dutch league,  Monaco's struggling pair of centre backs, a MLS keeper and picked up a few missing South American children for £20m each.
It's a complete different calibre of player we've brought in just because we've wasted huge amounts of money doesn't mean the squad is particularly talented or the manager has a lot to work with.
