February 24Feb 24 Stewart Kennedy saves at the feet of Ronnie Glavin. 4th January 1975. Rangers won 3-0 and it was a pivotal result in the title race. Kennedy was outstanding for Rangers as they won the title. He was made the scapegoat for the 5-1 hammering Scotland took at Wembley in May 1975.Admittedly he didn’t play well to say the least. However, the rest of the Scottish team didn’t exactly cover themselves in glory, Kennedy had been injured against Northern Ireland on the Wednesday and decided to play against England on the Saturday. The rest is history. He never really recovered his 1974-75 form for Rangers, but did win two more League Championship medals and two Scottish Cup winners medals.

My first trip to Wembley. I went with my Dad. As you say Kennedy and the rest of the Scotland team didn't play well. England scored from at least two long range shots and Kennedy should have done better but England players were given too much space. Very different from two years later when Scotland won 2-1.
February 24Feb 24 It was two League Cup Winners Medals not Scottish Cup Winners Medals Stewart Kennedy won. He only played in one Scottish Cup Final that of May 1977. When Celtic won 1-0,
