May 17, 20251 yr The second replay took place on Mon 28th May 1979. The League had been lost by then. Rangers won 3-2 th3 second replay in the last minute of extra time.The two teams met, again on 31st May at Easter Road in the last league game of a long (and very disappointing league season. This was a postponed game from December 19 78 or early January 1979Unbelievably, the first League game of the 1979-80 season,saw the teams meeting at Easter Road on 11th August 1979! May 24, 20251 yr Author We all know how great Davie was but I reckon Derek Ferguson never realised or fulfilled his potential. He had the talent. His brother was very good.
