Great picture. Looks like 1979-80,as both Gregor Stevens and Gordon Smith are in it.

You're right about the year. Some great players in the picture: Doddie, Tommy McLean, Bomber, Tom Forsyth, Davie Cooper, DJ, Peter McC;loy, Alex Miller and Derek Parlane.

Sandy Jardine after scoring an unbelievable goal against Celtic. August 1979 at Hampden

He ran from his own penalty box, to the edge of the Celtic penalty box. After having beaten five or six players on the way, then hammered a shot past Peter Latchford.

The ref (a nonentity!) then actually booked Gazza!

Rangers 7-0 Hibs at Ibrox in December 1995.

It was freezing cold, so cold that parts of the River Clyde had frozen over!!!

The ref was a numpty to book Gazza. Obviously had a lack of sense of humour. Even the Hibs players thought the ref was wrong.

It was a great goal. One of two great goals in that game with the other from Davie Cooper. Great shirt as well. Danny McGrain in the background.

Gordon Smith scores the winner v Juventus in the European Cup First Round Second Leg Match at Ibrox in Sept 1978.

The guy standing on the earth embankment probably had the best view of anyone in the Stadium that night.

Ibrox was in the very early stages of being reconstructed.

Summer 1986. Colin West was unfortunate to get injured very early in 1986-87.

If I remember correctly West was Souness's first signing.
