After Rangers beat Dundee United 4-1 in the Scottish Cup Final replay in 1981. Two goals from John McDonald, one from Bobby Russell and the other from Davie Cooper.

Davie Cooper was outstanding that night. Can’t believe that game was played 45 years ago today!

Ralph Brand scores Rangers second. 120,273 officially saw it. Scottish Cup Final Replay. 15th May 1963.

Rangers won 3-0 and it could easily have been double that.

It wasn’t all ticket, so add 30-35,000 for the true attendance! This is the crowd at the Mount Florida(traditional Rangers End) of Hampden

Classical looking beautiful trophies. .

Our own EPL trophy is hideous in comparison to the old trophy

Agree, the EPL trophy is hideous. The old trophy has class. The EPL trophy is cheap and tacky looking.

Mo Johnson at Pre Season Training in Italy, shortly after signing in July 1989.

A quiet no fuss transfer, that nobody took any notice of…😀😀😀😀

Indeed, a quiet no fuss transfer. Hardly no press coverage and very little comment from supporters of Rangers and Celtic! 😂😂

I bought the London Evening Standard on the day of the transfer and on the back page was the headline: "Johnston signs for Rangers. See inside back page." The London Evening Standard had the habit of calling Queens Park Rangers as Rangers and I thought it strange that Mo would sign for QPR. When I read the article on the inside back page I was stunned.

A few months later Johnston scored the only goal when Rangers beat Celtic. To say he was happy is an understatement.

Gullane. The very name, sends a shiver up the spine of Rangers players of ‘a certain vintage!’

Pre Season 1977-78, as Bobby Russell and Billy McKay are in this picture.

Derek Parlane on his ‘sand shuttle run.’
