Englishman
Mancs just taken the lead. Expect Howard Webb to apologise to Martin Jol if it stays this way after missing Brown's handball.
jack h
3 times Tottenham had good penalty shouts 2 were definate pealties the other was debatable. And isnt this the same ref that sent Ronaldo off and that Ferguson said should apoligise to him, and they say we intimidate refs
Lofty
Only Scousers get apologies from referees. Somehow I don't think I'll bother watching MOTD2 tonight.
The Brit
I thought Utd were not just lucky they were v poor...v dodgy at the back and lacking in ideas...they were fortunate last season cos ronaldo and rooney played most of the games and you can see how reliant united are on those two....hope rooney stays out for a while and ronaldo keeps getting banned! Jack
Just in case anyone missed it, Souness, Redknapp (Junior) and Gray all said it wasn't handball - apparently it hit the top of Brown's chest! I know my eyesight is failing but I had no idea it was that bad! Just to confirm what we all should be talking about, Richard Keys let us know: "Well that's all from us here at Old Trafford where the debate will rage on; was it Nani's goal or will it go to Tevez?" Sky has plunged new depths, folks. Maybe they all feared for their jobs if they even for a second considered it may have been deliberate handball because there was no doubt in anyone's mind, no hesitation - it hit his chest and that's the end of it, good decision by the ref! The good thing is that they don't try to hide their bias at all - it's out there for everyone to see.
loz
Talking of not hiding your bias Alan Green on Five Live said of the penalty decision 'Fortunately it wasn't given' even though he admitted he thought it was a penalty.
The Brit
people will accuse us of being paranoid, but I'm sure we would have been faced with a similar backlash we had on sky, five live and the press last week if that had been JT blocking the shot...everyone seemed intent on saying why it wasn't, whereas if it had been us it would have been why it was! Honestly though, don't Man U have shares in Sky (or Sky in Man U) I wonder if the pundits fear slagging off the boss. It seems that people who are on there all agree with whatever the consensus is, and they never really invite anyoen who thinks outside their bubble back!
