katznutz
Hello everyone I've only just got in touch with Hilary as she's been very busy as I'm sure you can all imagine, but to say she's chuffed & overwhelmed is a bit of an understatement The funeral will be a family affair with family flowers only, but if you so wish to donate either via a forum setup or individually then the 2 charities of her coice are 1. The British Lung Foundation 2. The Organ Donor Society Nick's surname was EARL so all donations please put with referance NICK EARL Hilary & myself are keeping in touch via the phone & post & she really thanks you all for everything I'll keep you all updated if there's anythng else I've forgotten Cheers Ian (Katznutz)
loz
Folk Unless anyone has any objections I will put in a donation from the forums bank account. I will split the donation with half going to each of the two charities below.

Barn
Loz, Does that mean if we pay a donation to the forum via the link at the top of the page it will go into the Boulderbollocks donation? By that I mean how are you splitting normal forum donations from those intended for Boulderbollocks?
loz
Barn I am curently sitting with a small balance in the bank and I was proposing donating some of it (i.e. donating some of the money people have already contributed rather than new contributions). However I am more than happy to act as a 'gatherer' of new donations if people want me to. If anyone wants to make a specific contribution toward the charities then they can donate the money following the 'Donate to Forum' on here and specifically state that it is for the charities (there is a box where you can add a message with your donation). Anything that I get which states that will be passed on in full to the charities and none will be kept in the forum account. If anyone is not keen on electronic payments and want to send me a cheque then I can provide an address. Hope that makes sense - if not feel free to come back to me. Cheers Loz (p.s. I added the DONATIONS WELCOMED' in the thread title)

loz
Quick update We have now got to just shy of ?120 in contributions (including the contribution from the forums bank account). I am planning to make the donations to the two charities at the end of September so plenty of time for anyone else to donate should they want to. In addition I have decided that for the month of September any I will donate fees earned through the Amazon link at the foot of this page . So if anyone was thinking of buying from Amazon or is thinking about buying Christmas presents early then this is the time to do it. Roughly 5% of anything you spend will be put toward the two charities.

I think I'll be doing most of my Christmas shopping from Amazon, but like a lot of people, I'm full of good intentions but when I buy something from Amazon, I tend to forget about the referral link, so to get round that, I've changed the link in my bookmarks from Amazon.co.uk to: http://www.amazon.co.uk/?&tag=csrforums ... GXP4NYB65& so now it doesn't matter if I forget.

Of course it was a sad event but all went as well as could be expected & she thanked me for the link to the tribute page that Loz has done I've told her about the other forums too & she's very grateful
loz
I will be making the donation this Sunday so two more days if anyone else wants to make a donation or wants to buy something through the Amazon link (remember I will be donating all referral fees earned in September). loz
Details of the donations made are posted below. In summary we collected ?130 in total which was split with ?70 going to the Organ Donor fund and ?60 to the Brithsh Lung Foundation. I ticked the box which said that it was a personal gift from me rather than one collected from people as this means that we can also get gift aid on the donation meaning an additional ?16.92 to the Lung Foundation and ?19.74 to the Organ Donor. So a total donation of ?166.66. Many thanks to everyone that donated and also to those who used the Amazon link in September. If anyone still wants to donate to either charity they can do so here http://www.lunguk.org/ and http://www.justgiving.com/body
