Posted September 21, 200717 yr Appologies if i've spelt this wrong, but just heard on ssp news that our new gaffer will not be at work the next couple of days as he must, under his Jewish beliefs, rest. Someone please tell me they've overeacted at Sky mansions and some hack is just wildly speculating !
September 21, 200717 yr I wrote about it here. It's ludicrous if you ask me. http://www.chelseafcforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=4969&start=15
September 21, 200717 yr Author sorry Sweet Waffle, missed that one, too much too keep up with on here at the moment ! Well its in the Sun so i guess it must be true
September 21, 200717 yr The Yom Kippur War, Ramadan War or October War (Hebrew: ????? ??? ?????????; transliterated: Milkhemet Yom HaKipurim or ????? ??? ?????, Milkhemet Yom Kipur; Arabic: ??? ??????; transliterated: ?arb October or ??? ?????, ?arb Tishrin), also known as the 1973 Arab-Israeli War and the Fourth Arab-Israeli War, was fought from October 6 to October 26, 1973, between Israel and a coalition of Arab states led by Egypt and Syria. The war began with a surprise joint attack by Egypt and Syria on the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur. It's the ideal moment to surprise Grant. Ideas anyone?
September 21, 200717 yr sorry Sweet Waffle, missed that one, too much too keep up with on here at the moment !Well its in the Sun so i guess it must be true Well I'm inclined to believe it is true, which just compounds the issue of Grant being in charge, what happens if another Jewish things come along on a match day?!?
September 21, 200717 yr It is true, but its not rest, from sun down today he has to fast, this includes no eating no drinking of any fluids and no bathing of any kind including brushing teeth till sun down on saturday night, he will probably be spening his time in synagog, i will be spending mine in my room with a large collection of dvd's
September 21, 200717 yr i will be spending mine in my room with a large collection of dvd's As is written in the Torah.

September 21, 200717 yr I dont believe a word of this! Dont you have to be Orthordox Jew to partake in this sort of caper??

September 21, 200717 yr It's true Glory, within the first two days, Clarkey is training the players on his own, while 'the new guy' sits at home. I am expecting to wake up soon and read posts on Jose's choices for the weekend!!
September 21, 200717 yr I dont believe a word of this!Dont you have to be Orthordox Jew to partake in this sort of caper?? nope not at all. As ive said else where mate its the most holly day in teh jewish calander, im not orthodox in the slightest, hell most people wouldnt have a clue i was jewish if not for my name, but like many others i set this day day/s aside as somthing i try and adhear to. Jimbo... baaahhhh, cut me some slack, im in the middle of no where, there's not a synagog for 100 miles in any direction as far as im aware. besides im sure DVD's where lost in the transalation some where Bluenut, he will be doing far from f*ck all, its not any easy thing to do in the slightest. Hell i think he's a terrible choice for manager but this isnt his fault.
September 21, 200717 yr Hell i think he's a terrible choice for manager but this isnt his fault. Sorry, but I totally disagree with that. It's not like someone's holding a gun to his head and making him follow his religion. He's got freedom of choice like the rest of us - his choice is to follow his religion, and the fact that he considers that to be more important than his job, it just goes to show he has no respect for the club or the fans.

Hard to see what else Roman could have done for the Man U game. If he appoints Clarke, we get the exact same preparation, only on match day the man in charge is someone with no managerial experience whatsoever. If he appoints someone from outside the club, then even if he rushes the selection/negotiation processes ridiculously (which would probably be a very bad idea) the new man would be meeting the players for the first time one day before the game. We're going to be horribly prepared for the Man U game, but that's because we lost Jose at a very bad time. Not because Roman decided to put Grant in charge.

It shows that he has more respect for his religion's most important holiday than he does for a day of training (albeit one of our most important training days of the year). That's not exactly the same thing as having respect for the club or the fans. It definitely says something about his priorities, and you're completely free to dislike what it says, but don't go overboard.
September 21, 200717 yr Sweet baby Jesus ..............We've had it! This dont look good. He should come to work on Saturday or he should leave, just out of respect to the best supporters in the world.

September 21, 200717 yr From a bloke who's wife guzzles piss on the internet I can't see it happening.

I dont even think you completly believe that, just like you are aloud dispies all orginsed religion because it is your right and equaly your right to say so, it is his right to folow what he believes in with out critasisem from others, its hardly extreamisem is it. If i went for a job and they said hmmm, we'd like to give you the job but your jewish so your going to have this that and the other and thats not convient for us id be on the phone to my soliceter looking to sue as quick as you can say bye bye roman. Obvusly he considers his relgion important, its been a part of him his whole life and will continue to be after he gets let go (hopefully in the not to distant future) you cant really compare the two
September 21, 200717 yr Ok another slant on this, what if.. (as obviously nobody knew of all this when the fixtures came out) our game wasn't a Sky game to be played on the Sunday? What if it was a 3pm Saturday? He wouldn't be there at all would he!

So if this game was on Saturday he wouldn't be at the ground for his 1st game! Theres dedication and comitment to the club! EDIT - BTW this is in no way a dig at the jewish religeon
September 21, 200717 yr I'm not by any means turning this into an arguement with you Barak. I'm not comparing it to bereavement either, cause that's a total different story if 'new guy' suffered a loss in his family.
